Needless to say, he fits into English society like a bull in a china closet.
This is never as evident as when he must chase a suspect through the heart of London.
And on the left side of the road, no less!

That was George Peppard. I was Bannigan." "Brannigan?" "No, that was Hugh O'Brien. I was Bannigan." "Right, right! You had the black secretary." "No, that was Mannix. I had a sheepdog." "RIGHT!!" Sorry, hearing Brannigan always reminds me of Adam West and Lookwell -- which really SHOULD have been a series. Anyway, it's still weird seeing John Wayne in a movie set in the present day....

One of the weirder ones is a romantic comedy he did in the early 30s called "His Private Secretary."
