He's under contract so he will play for us period. I will go out and say he will get franchise tagged next season. They offered him 26 million the franchise tender is 25 million so who really has all the leverage?

The reason why they can’t sign him is because the cap is going to be a problem next year. They had sign CMC and also Brock Purdy‘s contract is gonna be a question of next year. So that’s one of the reason why they got a WR in the first round to begin with. Also worst case scenario is Aiyuk sits out for the 2024 season until a deal or a trade is on the table.

Lol nonsence you understand when Brock gets new deal at years end it's called an extension so niners can back load the deal if they choose 5 year 60 mil per year for Brock will give niners 6 years control at for 301 million works out at 50 per year if niners choose they can have Brock's cap hit as low as they choose for 3 more years by time bigger money kicks in this team is done anyway plus capp will be huge. Niners can absolutely pay aiyuk this year they can keep everyone for few years if they choose but I believe they hope to get aiyuk signed around 28 per year with hopes of moving off deebo next year.

Oh and aiyuk isn't sitting out or he loses close to 1 million per game plus he's only had one break out year if he dosnt play who's going to pay him he will start losing value but he can only sit out so long or his season dosnt count and the year remains on his contract then there's franchise tag too.

Or the lions head coach making questionable decisions. Honestly Niners will hold on to him this year and if misses a couple game then Pearsall, Deebo, and Jennings play great together. They can trade him for a DT. Niners need to bloster up the defense line to either beat the Chiefs, Bengals, Bills, or Ravens in the superbowl. I think Niners make it with or without him this season. It was a total fluke for the Niners to play that bad against the lions and packers. This year is revenge tour. Just watch!

Aiyuk knows he can hold the Niners hostage during these negotiations because they need him, especially in this current championship window they're having. But in all honesty, Aiyuk just seems like another drama receiver just like the rest who's probably not worth what he's asking for especially when he's not a Tier 1 WR.

Well, he can't hold them hostage because he's under contract this year and they can franchise him the next so the 49ers hold all of the cards. His best bet is stop acting foolish, get off social media, and be patient. The 49ers always pay their top players in due time so there really is no rush.

Peak Dhop no question otherwise, though, if they were the same age. I just think Dhop kinda hit his ceiling already and Aiyuk probably just did as well which is why he's begging for a contract. Aiyuk's not in the same category.

Stats aren't the end-all for who deserves how much; if it did, Trevor Lawrence would be making mid-tier QB money. Objectively, Aiyuk's stats over the past two years are comparable to Amon-ra, despite having Jimmy G for 2/3rds of the 2022 season and competing for receptions against 2023's OPOY, Deebo, and Kittle. He is also ranked #2 out of WRs on PFF. Moving on beyond receiving stats, Aiyuk is ranked the #1 blocking WR in the league. He has also mastered one of the most challenging playbooks in the league. Previous Shanahan offensive coaches compared the ability to read the defense as a #1 WR in Shanahan's offense as the equivalent to a college QB's. Shanahan's offense is all about timing and having a player in the right place at the right time. If Aiyuk makes a different read than Purdy on an option route, that could be an INT. Aiyuk is a locker room leader, had the fortitude and coachability to come back and exceed expectations after being in Shanahan's doghouse in 2021, constantly takes big hits in traffic but doesn't miss games, high character, hardcore work ethic, and intensely competitive. Whether he stays with the Niners or not, he'll have pro-bowl-caliber success for years.

Let him go and lets see how his career turns out. Bruh not thinking about what we gotta pay for continued success. If you firm on 30 mil then that says enough

Remember that Aiyuk is really the 4th option to pass to on this team. Of course he gets open. I doubt that he is really a WR #1. Like many that we’ve seen before… Aiyuk is just a great WR#2 and will never be a great WR #1. Price not justified.
