Welcome 😊
So far I have enjoyed your videos that I have watched, but when you said graphic design is not art, I vehemently disagree. Art is literally conveying an emotion, feeling, or just art for art's sake. Graphic design is just that - conveying an emotion or feeling with a purpose. But... art is subjective, so I guess either way we're both correct.

Commercial graphic design is mainly about what works-it needs to serve a specific purpose, usually help a company achieve its business objectives. What I really mean by "graphic design is NOT art" is that designers tend to think of graphic design purely in the sense of aesthetics alone, saying things like "I like this, I don't like that". You can like or dislike art in the museum, you might get it or not-but if you design for a brand then your focus should go beyond aesthetics.
