Maryna, you are a treasure! Your tutorials are always very clear and I love that you use bulky, bright yellow yarn so we can see exactly what to do. Even though I have been knitting regularly for about 20 years I have learned so many great tips and trick from your videos and website. Thank you so much! ❤️❤️ Would love to have you set up a tip jar! Another commenter mentioned your parents getting out safely. If true, I’m very glad to hear that. Sending lots of light and love to everyone in that beautiful part of our planet 🌎❤️☮️

Amazing technique ! It gives the perfect finishing touch to all the work done in any piece. Thank you for your clarity and for sharing your knowledge. I practiced, and once I really got the hang of it, I found it easier to do with a crochet hook.

This is one of the nicest bind-offs I have ever seen, and performed. So easy, so pretty. What cast-on would you personally use to match it?

Thank you. I'm glad to know that you like this bind off method :-) As to the matching cast on, I haven't tested this idea yet, but it seems that a 2-stitch i-cord cast on should be a good match.

Hi! I’m taking you knitting course in Russian knitting, but I can’t figure out how to start Russian knitting (where I knitting Into the back-loop without getting it twisted) in the round without getting the mask twisted.. Could you make a video where you show how to start knitting in the round?☺️

Hi Anne, the cast on process is the same for working flat and for working in the round, there is nothing special there. But when we work in the round using the Russian knitting style, the stitches will always be twisted. It is not a bad thing because the fabric made of twisted stitches is stronger and usually lasts longer, and that is great for socks, mittens and hats. If you want to avoid twisting stitches in your seamless projects, you will have to switch to a classic knitting style. Happy knitting :-)

Hi Maryna. Very pretty bind off. I have a question. When I do the knitted cast on, or cable cast on for that matter, I mount the stitch by going under the stitch and up through it, not through the top then down. Will this make a difference in this technique? Thank you for sharing and have a lovely weekend.💞

Hi Thea, No, it won't make any difference. Cast on those two extra stitches using any method you like. You too have a lovely weekend, my friend :-)

Could this technique be ised on the neck of a pullover to eliminate the band?

  • @10rowsaday

It depends on the stitch pattern used to make the sweater. This bind off edge will look nice instead of a neck band, but it might not be strong enough to keep the edge from curling if the sweater is made in stockinette stitch.
