@luckeycraig true,i noticed that in the 90s he suddenly lowered hes voice to sound more masculine and it couldnt have been because of aging,voice change due to aging is gradual and not all of a sudden

he started aging fastly at around 44 but he is a father now,he's already rich and a grown man,if i was him i wouldn't care about my looks,if your one of the most famous and rich actors of hollywood u can get nearly any woman even if your not handsome

@scaramosca80 I'm not saying you're wrong. You're right about Pitt playing the same roles or "himself" like i put it, in many movies thats true for most Hollywood actors (old legends or new ones) because people want(/ed) to see them like that, but considering Pitt's whole career he's an ace actor. And that's absolutely the case for Cruise too, he's one of the very best although i think he's nuts. I love those other actors you mentioned too and i'm subjective too but I'm analytic about that. :)

@catburglar82 Interesting point of view but I keep thinking that Brad Pitt is a bit overrated in terms of acting. And I can tell you that I've really enjoyed watching some of Pitt's movies. But I've realized - when paying a little more attention to the way he acts - that he often plays and acts the same on screen even if the character is different. @windstorm1000 I agree with you. To draw a comparison, Tom Cruise is aging better than Brad Pitt without such botox injected in his cheekbones. But Tom Cruise is healthier hence the younger image. To be sincere, I've never understood all this fuss around Brad Pitt. He probably met crucial persons at the right time to have risen the stardom that high. That being said, he's a decent actor.

@scaramosca80 They all could be the guy next door when you put it like that. Whether you like an actor or not doesn't imply he's a good or a bad one. I don't want to start an arguement about sympathy but if you only consider the art of acting and how a person shows versatility and can switch character Pitt derserves his place among them all (and even more than some of them). Most actors only play "themselves" because people want to see them like that but that's not really good acting.

@BaltAndTheDude I personally couldn't pick a favorite. They're both great actors and i love most of their movies but if i had to choose who's the better actor Pitt wins hands down, sorry Depp-Fans ;) When it's about looks, that is a pure matter of taste but calling Pitt average looking is BS and saying he isn't talented is even more BS. Just a reality check. I'm really not a fanboy or something like that but you have to give credit where credit is due and he deserves it.

@scaramosca80 (according to me) there are far better actors than him. Though, I'd say that he's less stereotyped than before. I don't like Tom Cruise but I have to admit that the way he plays characters is more spontaneous. When you really pay attention, brad pitt - in a certain way - could be the guy next door. Nothing special. But he looks good on screen, he reflects the brightness, the luminance. Such a vapid actor. Good looking--but there's tons of good looking actors out there--he does have SOME screen charisma--the camera either loves you or it doesn't. That's why Pitt is a 'star' now--but when his looks fade he will have little to draw upon--and I'm not envious--just factual.
