This song was great when it came out, it’s still great now. Didn’t realize how empowering it was when I was in high school but it really is something that can bring a nation together mixed in the best genre of music and it shows many different areas in forms of sporting college sporting teams. Hearing this song in 2020 had a positive message for for many out there listening.

I don't know this artist I'm from an east coast city and I am not a big country music fan. I don't eat apple pie and car models mean nothing to me. Yup and I don't drink beer . Guess most people in the enormous city I am from don't do this either . Many of us volunteer and give of ourselves Most of us love to relax on weekends people drink and some people don't . We dance and we laugh we joke, we worship . We listen to and make music and other forms of art. We joke and laugh and enjoy our friends. But somehow listening to this I don't feel included. I do believe though that music and art and visuals and a concept of goodness and beauty and love ,kindness ,fun and inclusivity is a universal spiritual medium of connection. I'm glad it meant so much to you, but FYI for me and many others, probably not so much.

+Rebecca Walsh honestly, Brad Paisley has, lyrically, the best country songs since Alan Jackson was one of the most popular artists in the genre. Paisley sticks with the classic country sound, doesn't start rapping, brings in a perfect fiddle, and has originality. I wish Sam Hunt, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Brantley Gilbert, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert could take a long hard look at some of the less-popular musicians that put in the work to create great songs that aren't getting respect throughout Nashville. We need more Brad Paisley's, Darius Rucker's, Old Dominion's, etc.

+Nicholas Began Just wanted to point out that Brad Paisley is one of the main reasons I started listening to country music (well, after Shania, Faith, Trisha, etc. started getting mainstream). I do not live in the States and Country music used to not be accesible around.. I like his lyrics, his arrangements and the story telling that has always been part of HIS country music - I stressed HIS country because they have a modern sound to them (Songs like "Mud on the tires", "Little Moments", "Southern Comfort Zone", "Ticks", "Alcohol", "I'm Gonna Miss Her", "Water", "Online" etc, etc... I can keep going on forever)... But then ballads like "Then" or "When I get where I'm going" (if it weren't for Dolly Parton) or "You remind me" - are songs that could have been easily played be in any Adult Contemporary radio station... A path which has already been paved by country bands like Lonestar or Little Texas... So, as for all the other artist the industry is MANUFACTURING, props to them as well... the industry probably has created a new blend of music which helps a little hint of country to be appealing to other demographics... And well the 49th CMAs just happened last Wednesday... and they have recognised the talent of Chris Stapleton (you can not get more country like that)... and his performance... He didn't need Timberlake there at all... but that's the way things go... money makes our world go round... for better or worse.

that's kinda harsh don't ya think? people live properly al over this rock, just living for their families, don't take the beliefs of the haters on the planet for a true representation of those outside the US. I've travelled the world, seen life on every continent but the Antarctic (have no desire to go there) one thing I learned. the "folks" are just that, the everyday (whereveristan) population, they could care less about us or jihad or whatever, they just want to live, love, and go about their business. ive ate in the houses of Muslims in the middle east, , Jews in Israel , Russians on the steppes, Aussies, brits, Germans , poles, Argentinians, Koreans, Chinese, Vietnamese, you name it, I get around. one thing they all have in common when it comes to the state of the world today, they all want no part of the bullshit, they just want to live their lives.
