Yeah I'm black (West African) and have always thought something was wrong with me for loving country until I first stumbled on Darius's song (this one) last year and realized he's black and sings country! Music is just music, ain't no color to it

Ngala Hansel what does being black have to do with anything. I’m black and one of the most thugged out people you’ll ever meet. I love country music,classical music and any other kind of music that makes me feel good. Color has nothing to do with anything. Music was mean to bring us all together.

Don't worry, country has it roots in black history, just like rock.
@endlessword506

Ngala Hansel There was a point in time when it was weird to be white and be into hiphop but now we see more diversity in the hiphop culture and most crowds in hiphop concerts have a large amount of white people now. I say we should all enjoy the music that makes us feel great regardless of anything. Music genres aren’t owned by anyone, as long as people have respect for its roots they should definitely have every right to embrace it and/or become a part of it.

I’m 30 and here watching this in New Zealand, I have a massive fascination with the USA, not been there yet but this video is exactly how I picture it, at least the south anyway. I don’t care who your president is, I don’t care who won or lost the Civil War and I won’t mention Vietnam. I just want to get over there, buy an old Ford truck and drive it across every state stopping at little towns and bars, finding things and meeting people, listening to music like this as a go.

Me and my dad would listen to this song every weekend on our way up north to go fishing. We would never catch anything but we had so much fun doing it! (That was 7 years ago) I’m now a high schooler and well, nothing has happened to him, I just wish I wouldn’t have turned him down so many times because I miss going fishing. He thought I got tired of it, sold his truck and trailer, and bought a new car. The point of the story is don’t underestimate the time with your parents, the video games, hang out with friends, calls, texts can wait...
