The old buildings of Joburg were built to a very high standard. The quality of the buildings puts all the new shiny developments in Sandton to shame

I always pass that place everyday when i go to work. Its a beautiful place!!!

Nice one David I wish they can also transform the opposite former Transnet building and make it useful because it looks like a nice building. I thought they were renovating it a few years ago but still there is no progress people need an affordable place to stay but there are beautiful buildings that are not used.

nyc but the problem the is no backup genarator for electricity&the abonded building infront of the entrance next to Eskom belongs to transnet but homeless ppl live there&it's not safe at night or in the evenning when you come from gautrain,not that the ppl who sleep at Transnet are the ones who commit crime ppl who commit crime stay on the flats like Hillbrow so they robbed ppl & hide where the homeless sleeps so the blame is on them,but now they are smart if you come running or carring stolen staff they beat you&call cops to protect them selves from being keek out.

I used to live at the YMCA, which is a few steps away from this building, in 2012. I always wondered what it would be like to live on the highest floor of this building back then, even though it was still an office building/abandoned. Glad I wasn't the only one who wondered and somebody turned it into an affordable living space!

It’s good for beginners

This is great! I've been looking into coming to study at Wits for my masters but was a bit concerned about living in Braamfontein with little kids. I'll definitely consider the area. I really wanted to be close to university, I hate commuting. I've been biking to work this past year and I really enjoy the consistent and quick workout routine.

I love the views but I don't care for the apartment rooms itself. I guess you get what you pay for.
