While the hiatus is sad news for me, I totally understand what they mean. Their album was so perfect and there are no skips on it for me. It packs a punch and they said everything they wanted to convey.

The Rest is just as satisfying. I'm so happy for the boys!!! But they've been on a long, intense promotional tour since 'the record' was announced last year. And they toured hard, too. Enjoy the break, boys! We'll all still be here when you're ready to make 'the next record'! ❤❤❤

Yeah, the other thing is the insane amount of pressure that a follow up album would present, especially since they won a Grammy. I'd rather they make a follow up album when it's right for them, not when the fans are clamouring for one or a record label is asking for one. Their solo work is just as great as The Record (hopefully it'll lead to people checking all the recent ones they did).

I would 100% love to watch a live stream of them watching Paddington 2

The moment you feared they might be swept up by the whirlwind of fame and maybe trapped in the vacuous celebrity bubble, they surprise you by doing precisely what the artists you fell in love with years ago would have done. Huge respect.

I'm SO happy for the Boys! They earned it and they've earned a hiatus, too. But I'll still be looking forward to their next EP or LP. ❤❤❤

I consider these women solo artists first and boygenius is their side-project. It was their hiatus from their regular careers.

3 artists who rose to fame and flourished in the late 2010's came together and made what will undoubtedly become known as one of the defining albums of the 2020's. What more can we ask for?

Love them so much. Taylor and the Swifties need to listen and absorb this deep into their souls. More is not always better. You don’t need to announce a new album as you’re being awarded for the present one.

They all have remarkable solo careers too. I would be satisfied if each of them cut a new solo record and toured individually, then reconvened for another Boygenius record after that.

If you can make enough money to be able to take a break and take care of your mental health do it.When and if they come back it will probably make the next album even better. Let people miss you and appreciate you.
