started listening to julien just before turn out the lights was released and seeing her doing this with her friends is so precious to me. I’ve seen them all live solo and together and their energy on stage is incomparable. it’s beautiful when something as sacred as their friendship turns into something.. like this. I adore them.

Boygenius to me are kind of like the anti-Crosby, Stills and Nash. Both had similar origins: three established solo artists combine forces with a sound that puts heavy emphasis on harmonies and find more success together than they did alone. The main difference is that where Crosby, Stills and Nash could never put their egos aside and spent most of their time hating each other, the Boys don't let their egos get in the way and are mainly together because of their friendship, their success just being an afterthought.

They have such beautiful energy together and I genuinely love that for them. Like -- I think I feel the exact same way about the band, even though I adore their music, that they do -- if they broke up over some bizarre dispute or jealousy, I wouldn't be shattered because it so clearly comes together from such a loving place and it should remain in that place. Yeah I would miss the music, but they're all ridiculously talented on their own so the music isn't in question. There aren't a lot of bands that I can say that about, that their happiness is so contagious and obvious that it makes me happy for the musicians that they're together, but with boygenius that's one of my first impressions and they've earned it, especially with some of the crap these three have dealt with in their lives. ....doesn't HURT that they're incredibly talented together though...

My pipe team is to sing with my favorite singer songwriter ladies! I want to be your Harrison Witford and use my contralto male voice and counter tenor range to harmonize with these remarkable women. I would even transition and believe I have something to offer to your style of unison phrasing and my experience as a madrigal the University of Maryland helped me be aware of swtch singing. At times you three sound like sacred harp singers of the early American singing of folk songs of new Brittany most notably written by composers like William Billings in the 1600’s. of new Brittany. Sacred harp was sung in unison at one level of loudness thus driving the meaning of the song an emphasizing content. Shape note singers would often keep time by beating their clenched fists in one hand and really sing the phrases in a straight tone voice of maximum loudness, hardly any pianissimo or quiet phrasing. The words were paramount and the sound that did break into atonal singing created an atonal austere and haunting interpretation. I have an original sacred harp hymnal used in primary schools for children and the sound is pentatonic and bitchin’ haunting. I would love to teach you guys how to sing sacred harp music one day I would love for our paths to cross. I have been playing guitar dulcimer and autoharp ever since I hear the Carter family every Friday night at the Carter Barron Amphitheatre in Baltimore. I grew up in DC and hung out at DuPont circle with Van Morrison and other 60’s and seventies folk singers like Townes van zandt and roberta flack and I was thirteen when I bought a Yamaha acoustic which is vintage now. I love your musicianship and if your ever in town (st Louis) I would love to jam with you and sing with you. My cell phone number is 314 704 5432- michael Harry lucas is my name.

BEST FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS in guessing. Perhaps their 3-way connection under the sheets has helped them to bond so close musically. What happens when 2 of them fall in love and leave the 3rd wheel in the dust? Or if one of these ladies gets a different girlfriend and jealousy kicks in. Love the music though, hope they can pump out one more amazing album before the above mentioned inevitable happens. The thing about some young people that I don't get, they share their sexuality with many friends all at the same time, like it's no big deal. Isn't finding a monogamous loving relationship more of an accomplishment and more meaningful? Are monogamous relationships dead? They call themselves friends, I wonder if they realize that they are much more than that. Polygamous relationships never end well! Society has traditionally outcasted polygamy for good reason. I'm cool with being gay but for the love of decency, can you stick to one girlfriend at a time please. You can't have your 2 cakes and eat them too.
