Good video…I think a lot of people’s issues with getting good revs/rotation is the simple fact that they aren’t getting below the equator line and might not even realize it. I would suggest moving down a size ball. For example, if your having a hard time gettting under a 16 pounder, move down to a 15 or 14.

Long fingers and a strong wrist is a natural attribute in bowling. It's like having long legs is in track. Maintaining your fingers under the ball puts your fingers in position to lift the ball into a roll. Like a bottle opener, the same principle of leverage applies here. In other words, your fingers gets under the cap's ledge and thumb on top. If your fingers are short, the ball's center of gravity falls below your fingers and breaks your wrist. Occasional bowlers who use alley balls develop the bad habit of learning to bowl with a broken wrist shot. Two ways to combat this is 1) have your own ball drilled so that the ball's center of gravity is close to and between your fingers and thumb or 2) bowl two handed. I don't bowl two-handed. In my opinion, bowling two-handed is a "crutch" for short fingers and/or a weak wrist. In this method, the free hand is used to cradle the ball's weight throughout the swing so the bowling hand's wrist can remain unbroken.

good drill but there's no such thing as muscle memory...I guess he's using it as an example of trying to find a repeatable task?

What are you talking about, are you being serious 🧐 I hope not lmao. Websters definition of ( Muscles Memory ) : The ability to reproduce a particular movement without conscious thought, as a result of frequent repetition of that movement. A very good example of muscle memory would be typing on a computer keyboard or playing the piano while not looking at the keys. How is it possible to type or play the piano without looking at the keys……. I’m glad you asked Tony, you can type and play piano without looking at the keys because you have memorized where the correct points of contact are and direct your fingers to hit the correct keys without consciously thinking about it using ( muscle memory ).

@@potatogangtv2588 It's the brain that allows you to repeat the task, not your muscle. I think we're talking the same thing but I hope you understand what I'm saying.
