i've really thought about getting this ball in replacement to my proton. But what would your opinion be on that, I'm on a typical league,
Got mine on tuesday. My drill guy is on vacation till the 23rd. So i get to stare at it for 2 more weeks. Got my kid an arctic vibe too. Nothin worse than not using a new ball
I like the motion of the optimal idol but I need a ball that has that kind of motion in a weaker type ball. Would the hustle x-ray a close fit ?
Thanks Cody, great review! I purchased this ball, still debating abot pin up vs. pin down.
2000 surface on Hustle RIP is money.
is the dna coil like the rst x2 ball
They are cheap
Over priced
You’re welcome to think that. However, I don’t. Personally, as someone who bowls a lot of tournaments, and as someone who’s seen some pros throw this ball, it works! Looking and watching at the ball and what it does, it’s easy to think it’s a bust or it’s not worth the price. However, as someone who really struggles lofting the gutter or handling burn, this ball is a godsend. I can stay right in the track and have a lot more consistency and control the pocket really well with this ball. I’d gladly pay for this ball, and might even buy another one of these to stash. It has a specific purpose, but it crushes it.
Weak layout does it flare enough?
I like this ball I can throw it like my ruby and stand left
The high flare of the IQ 78U makes it completely different reaction from the Pitch Black and Purple Hammer, which are low flaring. The high flare of the IQ will make the ball more skid flippy, which will make it harder to control on tough patterns, such as flat, heavy oil or sports. They can make a 78D urethane with low flare core but it won't hook much at all and roll like a plastic ball.
dont see anyone using the sublime ?
In love with it, but it’s been a bit of a challenge getting used to it. It’s much later than anything I’ve ever thrown, which I like, but getting used to it has been an experience. First 3 games were throwaways, then I bowled a 227 with it (could’ve been a 257 I guttered after a 6 packed)
Just got mine yesterday love this ball
Mine tends to hook alot at the backend hard. Will less spin on release help correct that? Disclaimer I got a hustle rip
Let it lane shine then reevaluate. Or look at your ball speed. Might be too slow.
redo this without the music.
Cody, please upgrade your audio. Thanks - the world.
love the autism jersey
The Absolute Pearl uses Exo Pearl also I believe.
The Storm Absolute is actually a hybrid and comes with R2S Deep Hybrid coverstock on it. The DNA Coil comes with Exo Pearl. This is the first time Exo Pearl has ever been used.
I have an absolute and love it. My Pro Shop said I should get the DNA Coil next for that strong ball for heavy oil?
How does it compare to the original
I’m a little excited for this ball due to me having the rst-x1 sharing the same coverstock but hybrid. But I’m trying to choose between this or a phaze 2 As for how I drill it possibly, either above the ring or over the bridge. We will see what the plan would be for me after tacking to my pso
RST X1 is underrated.
@@andrewweltlich9065 it really is. It gets the job done for me when I need it whether playing straight or hooking the lane
Smooth Release My Guy!!! Great shooting!!
People here to see the ball not the music
Background music is a bit too loud. Difficult to hear you.
I agree
You may turn down the music bruv we can barely hear you
Man i wish i could buy the original defiant ball again. That was my all-time favorite ball.
I wish you could go on ball manufacturers websites and purchase and older release they ever made and they will custom make it for you too order this way they don't mass produce a old product that won't sell people order and buy it at their own leisure. I feel this could work really well im sure they have the formulas written down somewhere that they can remake an old release if they wanted too no problem..
They don't need to keep making a new ball release every week, month or even year its redundant especially when almost all ball manufacturers are using hk-22 coverstock weather its pearl, hybrid or solid its getting too repetitive and not innovative.. i get if it ain't broke don't fix it but plenty or older balls weren't broke and they felt the need to fix it anyway and discontinue so much equipment and customers wish they still could buy and throw.. i wish they would listen to us consumers more i suppose..
Cody, I'm an old dude. Straight up 10 is my motto. Thank you so much for doing a few shots in that track. I can't hook the lane with a fishing pole. So, you showing me a few shots in my part of the lane...really appreciated!
Agreed
I'm curious
Not a very strong backend to be using from deep angles. Pocket control ball more than anything.
Cody , how would the Absolute Power compare to the 900 Global Sublime ?
Got it on the 19th. Only have 4 games on it. So far from what I see I'm liking the control and forgiveness. Don't know if it would be my first out of bag on fresh? Looking to add a first out of bag that has the same shape and retains the same drive downlane. Any suggestions?
Just hit it with 3000 or 2000 if it's a little weak
I absolutely agree with Chris that if you hit it with a bit of surface, that should help a lot. However, I think if you can get your hands on an original Absolute, that would be great for fresh. If you can’t, it depends on what you’re looking for. If you’re looking for something that reads sooner, probably like an eternity pi or gem. If you’re looking for something cleaner and more responsive, summit peak or tnt infused would be good options
@@Codyschmitt900 You think the original Absolute is better for the fresh than the Power?
@@ChrisUlrich personally yes. Everyone is different so someone else might think otherwise. But for me it was. The R2S Deep Cover for me got a little inconsistent when oil started to carry down.
@@ChrisUlrich thanks I'll give it a shot
Just drilled my TDX for Nationals. 50 x 4.5 x 35
Just bought one. Waiting for it to arrive. This review reassured me that I made a great choice.
its really nice, i currently have the proton and its really good but recently on this new league shot that im at, its just not consistant, but with the ball im able to be good and stay on 10-15 and then slowly move outside (im a righty). but with the ball its nice and responsive, and ive gotten a 280 on league a new months ago but that was at a different house and i was able to stay straight and go down 5-10 and it would be fine but at this house its a more consentration of oil and its confusing to alot of ppl, every week is a new week as in guessing to see where the oil is and have alot of ppl guessing. I did find a groove a new weeks ago but when i started moving inside say crossing 15 board it would go but not come back with the eternity pi its another strong asym solid same as proton but i think it would be stronger and the more you go outside with it you just gotta slow down the speeds.
Blah Blah Blah . . . geez it's all about making a simple game complicated. No thanks.
Was this RIP drilled pin up or pin down?
What’s the layout ?
What does that layout convert to for the dual angle layout?
How did it workout for you?
Love Mine!!!!!
How bad were the nerves
Truman ref, i appreciate that
Would that fit in my bag? I have a reality. I have an Uber. I have a auto pearl. I have a hollow he loves, but it's polished. Well, that's gonna be a good ball for me. That rotal grip sublime Be a good ball in the bag
Roto*
Great video. I have the Virtual Energy Blackout and Summit. Is this ball too close to those to carry in same bag? Current bag is Summit, VEBO, n IQ Tour Solid. Thanks
my guess is it would bridge the summit and vebo
I would say that it would probably has a little bit of overlap with the VEBO. If you are finding that your summit isn't reacting as much as you wish it was, I would recommend getting a stronger ball before trying to fill the gap between the summit and VEBO. On the other hand if the summit gives you all the hook you need, I would suggest getting this ball to fill the gap between the two and give you some more options to work with. Finally, when in doubt talk to your local PSO and get their recommendations.
I have all 3, i would say the summit is the strongest and earliest. VEBO is more angular and longer, the sublime is just under the VEBO imo. Stronger midlane read and very controlable backend. Atleast on mine. On a typical houseshot i start with phaze 2, over to vebo, then to the sublime. My favorite 3 balls for league. And yes, the houseshot i bowl on has quite a bit of oil
@@GreyBearedXbowler what do u think of the summit peak? Would be Summit, VEBO , then Peak.
@@addictedTobowling have not tried the peak yet. Only the OG summit. But im guessing so. My vebo is wildly angular tho! The sublime is just what the name says it is. Really controlled backend and a nice midlane read.
