@@jamiecook8239 Good hunters waste nothing. Some hunts don't have provision for using the meat like a Kodiak Bear hunt. In that case they leave the meat for the natural predators [likely other bears], but are required to take the hide and proof of sex. I understand they can't keep the bear claws either ... its a DNR thing to prevent it turning into a trophy abuse thing. The taxidermist uses pre-formed plastic claws to get the natural look.

Bravo ti sei guadagnato un bel posto in paradiso.
What a send at 2:20 !! looks like 100 Yards 😬
I started shooting archery when I was 8 and I'm now 63. It's been shown that when an archery compentency test is given before a hunter is granted a permit/license, less than 25% can perform and pass under pressure. And these are not difficult shooting tests either. The problem is the pressure and the adrenalin, and it causes even good "backyard" archers to fly shots everywhere. For the archers who are interviewed after hunts, the compilation of responses shows that 10 arrows fly for two hits, (lots of liars in the other 8 shot deniers), and one retrieved animal. Seriously, test youself. Arrange to have 5 of your buddies come over for one purpose, and one purpose only: To watch you shoot 5 arrows at 25 yards into a 9" pie plate. Make a solemn agrement with them that if you miss any arrow outside of the pie plate you will not bow hunt that season. No mulligans. No do-overs. No "oh buts". See how you do. If you pass the "pressure test" then go hunt, still holding to ethical distances and shot angles of course. If you don't pass the test, then have respect for these magnificient creatures and creations of God and stay on the practice range until the year comes when you can pass the test above. Because there so few places that require an archery compentency test to hunt, what we largely have now is a reckless bloodsport.

@@andrewgoldin6905 Lots of practice. Crossbow really isn't different than a compound. Judging yardage is the key. Take a range finder out hiking. Find a tree or a stump and ask yourself how far? Range it. How close (yardage) is your judgement according to the target distance?

ok. your statement is nuts, unless I am hanging with an elite crowd , unknowingly. If I can't put 5 arrows TOUCHING ECH other, in the 10 ring, at 25 yards, then I am hanging my head in complete failure . Baseball size groups at 65 yards and minute of pie plate at 130. That's normal out west

Everyone has their comfort zone for shots. It's obvious he is confident at long range but at the same time passed on a chip shot frontal. Go with what you personally are comfortable with and you know will make a quick kill. I would never take an 80 yd shot because my bow isn't quiet enough but I would have dropped that bull frontal at 15 all day long.

@@1bowmaniam there is room for error actually. Not as much as a broadside shot obviously but there is room. If you’re shooting from 30 or less there isn’t really a problem with a frontal. BRO dropped a video not too long ago where a frontal shot is used on a bull that is actually quartered, and it was a clean kill. All of the vitals are accessible from the front. I agree that it’s stupid to take a frontal from farther than 30 or so, but inside that isn’t unethical.
