Tbh it was one of the few stories that didn’t screw up or contradict any of the continuity of the trilogies. They shouldn’t have put it in the EU category then that age of the republic comic with jango is more like a spontaneous meet with Dooku rather than what we got her in the gams

I don't think they should be allowed to call anything canon honestly. I'm sorry there are children in the world that had the sequel trilogy as their introduction to this series. Disney should be drawn and quartered for that and not just on Twitter, but in life. Tragic. All 3 movies were descending war crimes. And I am not sorry for saying that 😌

I remember when people were going on with this same kind of nonsense when the prequels were being released. Poor Jake Lloyd (young Anakin in Phantom) had his life ruined because people decided that Lucas had ruined Star Wars.

I saw this game mentioned in another SW video and a childhood memory of watching my brother playing came rushing back. Never remember trying it out myself though

I got this for Christmas that year. I about killed my Dad going at him for a hug when I opened it.

They were always intended to be linked. Vosa's sabers were the ones given to Ventress. That was planned from the beginning.

I never understood why there wasn't an upgrade system in the game for a BOUNTY HUNTER to spend credits on. That and the ability to unlock a Boba Fett costume option always baffled me. The last thing I was always puzzled over was how on the Prison Riot mission, the guards and prisoners would suddenly stop fighting each other and target YOU together...for some reason even if you didn't attack them. Even with the faults though, my brother and I loved this game back in the day.

It would be nice for the game to be remastered, and they could upgrade the game by having an upgrade system where you can spend your credits on and buy stuff like a costume upgrade, with additional skins, and have the ability to play as alternate characters from the Star Wars Bounty Hunter storyline. Like if you wanted to play as Montross, Zam Wesell, Komari Vossa, etc. Also to have a Boba Fett storyline

This game needs a re-release. They could fix so many things, well an indie dev could. AAA would try to AAAA release it, whatever that means

Another classic from my childhood, would wake up and play this at like 5am before my family got up on the weekends and would sit and play this wrapped up in a blanket on the couch in the dawn lit living room.

This game was made at a time when game developers weren’t chasing that dopamine rush of progression from players.

Hot take: RotJ shouldn't have returned to Tatooine but rather had Jabba be located on Nar Shaddaa and do the Han rescue bit there. Imagine how much more interesting it would be in that giant city, in my opinion the coolest location in Star Wars and criminally underused in media

"You had to scroll through Jango's inventory to find the visor". If you press up on the DPAD (I think it's up, might be down), it selects the visor every time, like a hotkey I guess.

This game as a sandbox sim like Deus Ex is just a perfect match that should have been.

This is still my favorite video game of all time. The atmosphere, the lore, the music, the locations, the plot, the level design... chef's kiss.

The sound of Jango doing flips and somersaults will forever live rent free in my head ❤

Episode 3 features Tatooine at the end. The Empire Strikes back is the only movie from the OT and PT that doesn’t feature it.

I had a very distant recollection of the blooper reel after playing this game as a kid and I'm really glad you showed the one with Roz and the doors. Still gets a good chuckle from me.

At least one of the Hutt slave escape bounties the first in the entertainment district is placed by Ka'Pa the Hutt, the very same one from the Mysteries of the Sith expansion of Jedi Knight 1.

Was not expecting a good 80% of this video to be roasting Disney Star Wars but here we are…

One of my favorites of all time. I’ll never forget Christmas of 2002. I was 12 years old and opened up a brand new PS2+bounty hunter. I have so many fond memories of playing this game nonstop Man.. 2000-2013 Star Wars game’s stories blows EVERYTHING that Disney has come up for Star Wars right out of the water.

When we used to play Star Wars WOTC RPG. My friend played as an original character, the son of Jagganath (Darth Maul) and Komari Vosa. They met in Darth Maul: Lockdown. Dooku finds the child after Vosa dies and has him raised in his Castle on Kholma. As a secret apprentice to be used similar to how Sidious trained Maul. Our DM hated it, but it used established canon lore. Which was one of our house rules. This was all before the return of Maul or the Disney buyout.

This game is perhaps one of the most underrated Star Wars games to exist

This game deserves a remaster and remake and a sequel where you play as Boba Fett, not the Mandolorian.

It was technically remastered for at least the Playstation 4 but that was just making it look okay on that system rather than any actual texture or graphical remastering. I am sure PC has graphic mods to remaster it. But a remake or a Boba sequel would be great.

Growing up, I always figured that they didn't use Jango's iconic blaster sound because given how much and how thumb-breakingly fast you have to shoot in this game the sounds would get really loud and annoying really quick. If you've ever fired the westar sound really quickly it does not sound good.

21:20 The boss being an earlier predecessor of the LAAT is actually pretty cool though.

If Disney made this game Jango fett would be depicted as a tragic villain.

Revenge of the Sith actually does feature Tattooine. When Kenobi drops Luke off to his aunt and uncle.

Honestly I did play this game and at the time I enjoyed playing the game it gave me a new perspective on why jango fett is a great character and he deserves better

I remember playing this on my ps2 then reading The boba fett books and doing book reports on them which now Disney made legends. But whatever Jango and boba fett will always be my favorite characters in star wars and this game i have so many good memories with.

Love seeing this game covered. I keep dusting off my ps2 just to play as Jango.

This game was impossibly difficult on GameCube…I actually never completed it all the way through but it was still really fun to play the levels I could beat playing as my favorite Star Wars character. I really do hope to see a spiritual successor to this game one day.

Komari Vosa and the Bando Gora are mentioned in several EU books. Specifically Maul Lockdown and Darth Plagueis as far as I know. Love the tie-in’s.

I grew up on bounty hunter and I'm so happy you've made this I feel like the end of the game was sooooo mutch harder than it should have been

The Disneyverse hate is strong with this one. Not that I blame you. Aside from a small fraction, most of it feels like a bad fanfiction made by someone that only liked the franchise for flimsy reasons and wanted to make their own story, and when no one with sense liked it, just dug the hole they were in deeper while saying "No no no, we can make it work! You'll see! I'm not the idiot here. You all are for hating this!"

Of all the star wars games this is my favourite I loved the challenge and the whole style.

Just because it's not Disney Canon doesn't mean it can't be Canon, afterall it still is in Legends, and no one truly takes Disney "Canon" seriously besides the shills. Hell for that matter, I'm not even sure if Disney has even overwritten Jango's backstory since I haven't paid much mind to what they've been doing for awhile now.

This is awesome man I really needed a reminder of how awesome the times before all the Disney stuff were. I will say though that I did also just realize that the accuracy of the tusken raiders was portrayed accurately, they could hit pod racers pretty accurately which would take a lot of skill, just look at how fast they had to move just to get sights on one of those, and then they hit them, thank you man. Your words on the yuuzahn vong and and and such actually made me laugh. You’ve brought much joy to this eu Star wars and jango fett fan.

My main grip with this game's story is how much of a target Jango makes himself throughout the course of it. You would think a bounty hunter would attempt to slightly lay low but dude straight up murders a senator and becomes #1 most wanted on Coruscant

And when you think about it, he sneaks all throughout Coruscant to silence the assassin and nobody in the movie knows who Jango is. Despite the game releasing AFTER the movie and the events of the game happening before.

If Jango is the true Mandalore and the true best bounty hunter in the galaxy, I wish George Lucas had seen the potential in him not to kill him like that.

Gardula's palace uses some areas that are unused concept art of Jabba's which are much more airy, brightly lit and open, with market stalls and stuff.

Look Evan, I know the Disney Era isn't everyone's cup of Blue Milk, but it still has some good points, and the Sequel Trilogy is the first Star Wars Trilogy I saw in the theater. Yes the Sequels weren't perfect but it also introduced me to characters that I have come to love in Finn, Rey and Poe. I love the Mandalorian and the Obi-Wan show. There is a lot of good in this new era of Star Wars you just have to find it. I hope you can see my side of things.

I went to Walmart with my parents circa 2003 to buy Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and they wouldn't let me so I (a huge Star Wars fan) saw this game and bought it instead. Probably my greatest experience playing a video game ever. The environments and additions to the lore are definitely my favorite things about it. I also love the creepy atmosphere of the game that gets set up immediately just by the music playing over the main menu.

I still play this game now on PS5 and just hang around corrusant bars and roofs reading bounties. Hopefully they make a game when the mandalorian movie comes out

I remember this game being too hard to beat as a 7 year old so I used a cheat code to unlock all the levels so I could at least try to play them all. I know it will never happen but a remake that modernizes the gameplay would be amazing.

Great to meet likeminded fans of these pre-Disney halcyon days, when our biggest problems were the prequel movies. I have a tattoo of this game that’s almost as old as its release, and I still gladly own both 🙂

Yep that's right, before some people were claiming Disney ruined Star Wars with the sequels they were ranting and raving about Lucas supposedly ruining Star Wars with the prequels.

I remember seeing this game on the shelfs for so long, and I finally got it on Easter back when I was 8y old. I played the shit out of this game, but never got to finish it because of how hard it was. I completed it on the ps4 back in 2021 and man, the game still holds up.

Now this is a game that needs a Dead Space level remake. Updated story, updated game mechanics, a proper bounty and credit system so you can use your hard earned dosh on some sweet suit and weapon upgrades as well as an expanded list of classic Star Wars weapons. But with Disney in charge, the Earth will probably freeze over twice before they even entertain the idea. And if by some miracle they do decide to remake it before the sun implodes, they'd probably find a way to fuck it up anyway.

How I miss LucasArts, where most Star Wars games memorable, unlike EA Games.

Fun, frustrating, and adventurous. I always enjoy revisiting this part of jango's story.

I loved all these early 2k games growing up! Disney SW has been so abysmal I don't get much the same feeling I do in this era of gaming, movies, books, etc.

This game doesn't need a remake. The game concept needs a complete overhaul. It was so close to being a good game, but the execution and game choices were questionable, to say the least. The irony is that the current canon is the best chance for a redo. But considering how Disney treated Boba, I will be surprised if it was actually good.

@@evprince Luke's perception of Tatooine in Epiosde IV is not an absolute reality. Luke thought his life sucked but by the standards of the 1977 audience he had it quite a good - a hover car, a personal aircraft, and friendly robots to do all the work!

You have no idea how happy it makes me to see someone actually know about this game and love it like I do. although after watching all the way through I do feel like there was a little to much complaining about things and some criticisms that seem to harsh or unwarranted. At least we can all agree that Disney has ruined starwars.

One of the only games I never managed to finish as a child. I was probably around 10 when this came out and it took me weeks to convince my dad to get it for me, when I got it I remember cutting out the (in Germany) 18+ pegi icon replacing it with a pegi 12 that I cut out from some other game I had so that my mom wouldn’t get upset. Great time that was!

I played this using save states on Dolphin Emulator and that really helps with dealing with some of the more annoying sections of the game since I can just save scum past them. Highly recommended since the game is awesome once you aren’t annoyed by those areas.

So, in a franchise that gave us Dexter Jettster, Kit Fisto, Savage Oppress, Elan Sleazebaggano, Bib Fortuna, Jek Porkins, Jar Jar Binks, and Sio Bibble, the name Longo Two-Guns is a bridge too far?

@@Mandalore3142 SPOILER WARNING so it was when boba was introduced in season 2 to get his armor from din after the whole fight with the imps and grogu getting taken by the dark troopers. Boba showed din that his and jangos chain code was in the armor. Din replied with "your father was a foundling?" Boba follows up with "Yes. He even fought in the mandalorian civil wars." Both referring to jaster adopting jango and the conflict between death watch and the true mandalorians
