Taking off the cover on this ESC, the manufacturer scratched off the markings on the motor drive chips. It's a generic 20 pin gate driver instead of a DRV830x used in the real VESC. I'm pretty disappointed that they cheaped out on the most important part of the ESC, and yet have three 32bit STM32F micro-controllers on the board. The bluetooth chip is also a nrf24, a design from 2006 that isn't compatible with the VESC App. TL;DR: Besides price-point, there is no reason to recommend this design over a flipsky6.6

Woah, so cool to see you commented - huge fan of yours! So it is not that great at climbing hills quickly. It is no where near as good as even Torque Boards VESC's in that area. I think the most suitable application would not be for an AT off road board but rather for a street board for intermediate or beginners. It doesn't have the same punch as most other VESC's

Your other VESCs cutting out during breaking could be happening because the regen current is too great, are you sure it is the VESCs causing the loss of brake power and not saturated regen settings? You can fix this by either decreasing braking current or increasing regen current.

Ive got some Clouds and and looking to buy some airless tires, but wondered if I could fix some 6" wheels with air in them on to it 😀 I have the Abec adapter so wonder if they would go straight on. Thanks Mark

You said you liked the aluminum housing as it acts as a heat sync and stated that the FSESC has nothing but this is not true, the FSESC has an aluminum backplate to act as the heat sync that you can clearly see when you hold them up to each other. Other than that great video.

This is true, there is a heatsink on the Flipsky 6.6. Maybe what I said came across wrong... they both have heat sinks, but the flipsky 6.6 has no actual case/protection. What I meant was that the Boundmotor ESC has an actual case. My mistake, thanks for catching me!
