Excellent tutorial! You explained EVERY step in such detail, that one could simply open AE for the first time ever and get the same result. I recommend watching at 1.25x the speed, though :) Cheers!

Totally great tutorial - thank you! Really clear explanation for a beginner like me. Splitting the horizontal and vertical motions in the graph editor to smooth out the motion in the apex has all sorts of future applications for me. Best of all, I can hear your dog bark at 23:13

can you put an image behind this rather than a black background???

Yes you can. You simply import an image and pull it down to the left area where you pulled the image of the ball. The ball should be the first image and then the other you can resize to be the full background. If you don't want to accidentally drag the background you will want to select the icon of the lock and you should be good to go.

At 13:12 hold 'Command + Alt' instead
