This is really awesome! Great tutorial. My only thought, in case anyone cares, is that "Match Grain" should be applied at the end of the effect stack, after any lens or motion blurs. Because if you were filming this dragon the grain is caused by the sensor, the motion blur is caused by the shutter, and the focus blur is caused by the lens. The effects should be applied in the order of farthest from the sensor to the closest if you want to match what happens in real life. Regardless, really great feature! Hopefully one of these days native AE will catch up to Element 3D. :)

Relating to what you said at 05:40, you could still make global changes to the position of dragon even after making those variations in speed of flight corresponding to the wings flapping. You could use a 3D Null layer, parent dragon to it, and animate the null for any global offsets you would need to the position of dragon.

when importing my blender 3d asset to after effect, but when i do export in obj/glb/gltf file i have a white wall at the back and down of my asset, on top on that my asset is full white, with no textures and colors on, and yes i use the last version of AE

I'm using a 3080 ti with an i7 12700kf. But you don't need to have such good hardware

except you can't load glb. you have to import as obj sequence which can be frustrating

As we have a moving shot, we need to use the camera tracker to make the dragon stick to one place. Otherwise our animation would look off as the dragon would be shifting in weird directions

When you import the dragon he appears out of frame, try just dragging him down and it should work

The Light wrap plug-in is not free, you have to start a 15€/month subscription to get it. Or did I miss something?

I use rtx 1060 with i7 7700 just fine, adding as much ram as possible help cash and render in the viewer faster , media encoder use graphics card to render. good luck

a massive update from adobe that forgets that not everyone can afford a new computer for their supposed "NEW" tech. by making it impossible for the older machines to use the latest versions, they have effectively made their new software useless to a wide majority of people who can ill afford to update hardware. Way to go, adobe! (sarcasm)
