You’re so amazing Em. You know I grew up in Canada, and Joni was the queen of the airwaves. I have always loved her, and you did this perfectly. It’s been covered by others, but you know that nobody can hold a candle to you as far as I’m concerned. My little songbird, you always just go straight into my heart, and touch my soul. No other musician in my lifetime has had that effect on me. Joni Mitchell wrote the song, when she was 23 years old. Yet the thoughtful song's life wisdom has made it stand the test of time. According to her, she wrote it after reading a book by Sol Blue, while she was on the plane. "I was reading 'Henderson the Rain King,'" she told the Los Angeles Times, "and the hero was on the plane, and I was on the plane too. He looks down and sees clouds and I also looked down and saw clouds. I put the book down and started writing the song right away." You performed the song in a charming way and your interpretation of the song is excellent. rise and succeed

I know many comments have and will be about singing. This is top shelf rhythm playing. Emily is certainly an exquisite singer but what I feel is that this sometimes obscures just how good an instrumentalist she is.

I’m with you. I sent an email to Joni when Em did her other song ‘River’, she did that one so well too. I never saw any comment from her, but I hope she at least came and gave it a listen. Emily is always so dedicated to perfection that any artist should be really happy to know that Em is doing a cover of their song. 😊

Also sometimes taken for granted but the way you enunciate the lyrics makes them so easy to hear. I love your taste in picking such iconic classic songs to perform. And love your smile at the end!
