BOTH COMPANIES | Successes in WWF & WCW!
For wrestling fans who were around in the nineties, it was a time of battle. And that was because the two biggest promotions of the era, WWF and WCW were constantly at each other's throats attempting to attain dominance. Obviously then, this led to a lot of great television. But more importantly than that, it created two great places for wrestlers to work, with there being a few who actually succeeded in both. But, just who are the best examples of wrestlers who achieved greatness in both WWF and WCW? Well, that’s exactly what were going to be looking at today.

I realized in the main titles mentioning Hogan, Nash, Hall, Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat, the titles quoted SUCCEED IN WCW AND WCW. You can check it out. I'm a big fan of your videos. Keep doing a great job.
Andy's Macho Man's voice impression is just too good.
Scott Hall is the one wrestler who should have been world champion in both promotions but never got his run with either championship. Rey Mysterio, Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit could have all been in this video.

Scott Hall said he never wanted the title as it was all a work and no one was really a world champion
We also have to remember that both Scott Hall and Kevin Nash had been in WCW before being successful in WWF. Their second time in WCW was more successful in the long run.

God damnit, I REALLY miss The Macho Man. Such a tragedy, what happened to him. Out of all his great promos, I remember the one before SummerSlam '92, where he looked Warrior right in the eye and said "I'm the Macho Man Randy Savage...and I'm the World Wrestling Federation Champion. AND YOU'RE NOT!!!"
Mysterio, haku, jim duggan, benoit, raven. Missed alot of ppl here.

I love the Macho Man, but vince sure as hell wasn't going to give him a 2nd run in the wwe (wwf)
You need to do a part 2 of this as you have missed a few wrestlers
Steiner Bro’s, Arn & Tully, Nasty Boyz, Steve Austin
Booker T only had 4 WCW title reigns in WCW, while his 5th reign came in WWE. Also, in WCW he was a 9-time tag team champ with Stevie Ray, while his 10th reign came in WWE with Test.
@negrosuave9315
9 күн бұрын
Actually it was 5 and 6. He just never stoped saying 5X (wcw) world champion
Sid Vicious is a 2 time WCW World Champion, but you said he was a 1 time WCW World Champion. It happened in WCW early 2000 via wacky booking, so I could see why you'd confuse it for just one run.
Ric Flair is a 22 time World Heavyweight Champion, know your wrestling history!!!
I kind of disagree that Hogan was responsible for WCW taking the lead in the Monday Night Wars. Hogan had nothing to do with the build-up with the Outsiders/NWO before the heel turn reveal at Bash at the Beach. Yes, Hogan turning heel was a big moment for the WCW that did help propel them but Hall/Nash I believe were more responsible for the direction that WCW took during that period. Previous to Hall/Nash coming in Hogan was helping run WCW into the ground by having them re-hash old opponents over and over and over again.
Have u covered greatest tag teams?
It's funny the Road warriors was the Legion of Doom before WWF because Paul Ellering called them the Legion of Doom in the AWA
Yo hold up. Where are Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio?
What is the name of the song that plays during the Ricky Steamboat segment?
I still think the wcw belt looks better than any other
Another tag team that could be on this list, is the Steiner Brothers. :)
I don't know if anyone else noticed but a few names say succeed in WCW and WCW
Would Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio not be added to that list even though they both did not win the world title in WCW.
Not to nit pick but calling Scott Hall the 3rd member when infact he was the first to show up and start everything, seems like a big fu to his legacy. Please remember the Monday night Wars started with one man showing up on Nitro, saying "You wanna WAR your gonna get one."
So no mention of Eddie Guerrero Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho...? You don't have to like these guys personally but they had a huge impact on both companies
Dustin Rhodes maybe? Forget about his run near the end of WCW, his run in WCW before he left for WWF was very successful. He was 2x US Champ (when it was probably the 3rd most important title in the World), I think 3 time Tag Champ and a 6 Man Tag Champ. He was seen as one of the future stars of the company when morons (like Jim Herd) weren't in charge. He probably would have been multiple time WCW World Champ had he stayed. In WWF he was one of the biggest mid card stars as Goldust during his first run and his second and third runs in WWE were as if not more successful. He's a 3 time IC Champ, 3 time Tag Champ and 9 time Hardcore champ (holding it a few times during its early times when it actually meant something). While he never held the World Title in either company (again I think he would have in WCW if he never left), I would put him up there with Sid, Rude and the Road Warriors in terms of success between both companies.
Hogan was clearly the GOAT of WCW and Nwo
Isn’t it strange Scott hall didn’t have a world title run in both companies while hulk hogan and diesel had many world titles run …is it he rejected being a world champion or management didn’t see him world title worthy🤷??
Big Show is the greatest one to ever do it on both WCW & WWF and it's not even a debate.

Austin was good in WCW, but he never was the world champion. Yeah he had the TV title, US title, and tag team titles with Pillman, but so did a lot of guys who went to WWE and were much better. Austin was a victim of bad booking in WCW everytime he looked like he was going to break out

So... Nobody wants to point out the chapter cards say "Succeeded in WCW and WCW"? Also, nobody is going to argue that Jeff Jarrett is better than Booker T. That's just silly.
Really standing on business calling hogan the GOAT in 2024
Quick question for my history buffs: how come WWE counts Ric Flair’s NWA world heavyweight titles but don’t consider R-Truth’s or Nick Aldis’s? Aren’t they the same title by name?
@glpresley78
2 ай бұрын
Essentially, the original NWA title became the WCW title, and WWE owns the history of the WCW. So, the WWE recognizes WCW/NWA lineages, but not the TNA or Smashing Pumpkins versions of the NWA.
