Dissecting Aorta not withstanding, PED use certainly didn’t help the situation. As for his circle, the closer you are to someone, the more you have a duty to call them out on self destructive/toxic behaviors. Bostin spent his entire adult life pushing the limits of PED use and he paid the price. I feel like he was cheered, validated and commended all through this process. His openness and honesty garnered support and popularity from random strangers on the internet. It may have even gotten him a measure of financial reward because of the spotlight that was shone upon his reckless behavior Bostin may be a cautionary tale and a martyr for complete strangers but what about his family? The people he had more of a moral obligation to be there for? The “fans” who appreciated his honesty and respected him won’t be there to raise his family. They’ll find the next guy to latch onto and to cheer into an early grave. This is a tremendously frustrating and sad state of human affairs and should not be replicated by anyone.

Dissecting Aorta is definitely worsened by high blood-pressure. Risk is increased by Marfan's Syndrome and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I listened to an old clip of Bostin describing his entire stack and it is honestly baffling anyone can survive that for that long. Even Aortic Dissection can be managed with blood-pressure medication and it usually happens to older people. To drop dead instantly at 29 years old should be a big red flag to anyone. Kidney failure requiring dialysis is, while it may not be strictly related to risk of Aorta Dissection, in and of itself life-threatining.

Thanks for that comment. People without medical education saying it's "genetics" is the dumbest thing ever. There is no disease that isn't related to genetics in any way because literally everything in the human body is. That doesn't mean you can live however you want without consequences. If you increase your risk of disease by 90% then genetics wasn't the determining factor.

Found this video late, but there is a very common generic condition that affects 2% or more of males that makes aortic dissection much more common. I have this condition it is called a "bicuspid aortic valve" Unless your MD hears a murmur which isn't a given, mine is very hard to hear. It has limitations on the amount of weight I can lift, I'm not recommended to lift more than 50 lbs or do isometric exercises as they put most strain on your heart. If you do lots of heavy lifting it is a condition to be aware of that could take you out without ever knowing. I'd personally recommend an echocardiogram if you get into heavy lifting and/or body building as this condition is more common and if you never know one day your aorta could just give out. Kids get ECGs to play sports but this condition for as common as it is, often is never checked for.

It ain't worth it considering how much we lose in health to go on gear, and how much training methods for naturals are improving every year. Look at average strength standards for elite lifters 40 years ago versus now. We focus more on better sleep, food, water, and especially training, and as a result lifters are so much more impressive even naturally. There's linear periodzation, better information on exercises and variations and sets versus reps, conjugate, flexibility, explosiveness and how that relates to tonnage and therefore size, more info on injury prevention, nuclei overload, and different training styles, like strongmen and athletes like powerlifters. And while we might be weaker compared to gearheads, we will be stronger into old age, age relatively decently(And if we need TRT, it will help mortality, not kill it), live longer, suffer less issues, and we get to say it was all us, and we become less body dysphoric. And while side effects are specific in individuals, across the board you are looking at a 25-30 year loss of life. I want to see my grandkids, and I don't want my life to end early due to drug abuse. I know most people who made up their minds to do drugs won't listen to me, but at the very least, learn more about training, and milk a low dose instead of blasting. My dad's father died of similar health choices at around 45-50, and I never saw him after 3 years old. I don't remember him. So please, at the very least do not use drugs as a crutch and train smart AND hard. Your body will thank you.

I’m 31 with major heart issues now found out like 8 months ago I was around 260 then now I’m 185 I hate being this skinny but I don’t give a damn about being big anymore I’m 6’3 so that’s why 185 is really skinny for me. I want to be here for my fiancé and my future children and longevity is my only concern at this point considering that I actually have heart disease at this point the moderna vaccine gave me myocarditis and exacerbated my heart condition but I have cardiomegaly and pretty advanced LVH and enlarged aorta as well I have chest pains all the time now even considering all the weight loss I had sleep apnea going on and didn’t know which also contributed to my high blood pressure and heart problems but if I wasn’t using Steroids and GH and shit like that I wouldn’t have been so heavy to have had sleep apnea to begin with. I know for a damn fact that steroids and stimulants like Derek said are the main reason I have such issues with my heart now at 31. My c reactive protein was almost 8 when i found out 8 months ago. On top of losing weight I try to do everything to be as anti-inflammatory as possible I even meditate volunteer with animals everything to get my stress down as well I fast for up to four days at a time every month and I eat only 2000 calories a day now mostly healthy fats and protein but I limit my meat intake and only go for grass fed when I do and I get my eggs from a local farm where I know the chickens are genuine pasture raised and happy chickens you know when you get that ridiculously dark yolk. And in regards to the genetics part nobody in my family has heart disease or has died of heart issues none of my relatives at all so it’s safe to say I’m genetically definitely not prone to heart issues my granpa is almost 98 and his heart is still very good for his age. Had I simply implemented ARBs and beta blockers throughout my using years I genuinely don’t think I would’ve been in this position now my heart would’ve been in much better shape actually I can be almost positive of that fact.

Palumbo will as usual attribute to some genetic issue 😯 One of the side effects of anabolic steroid use is aortic dissection, which is associated with hypertension and atherosclerosis. Chronic steroid use may cause fragility of the vessel because of the negative effect of the anabolic steroids on collagen formation and connective tissue strength.Sept 30, 2020 It’s a well documented side effect of steroid use Dave 😯

Great vid on the subject matter! A rule of thumb is..."If it doesn't belong in your body then, don't put it in!"... Body dismophia associated with insecurity and low self-esteem is a recipe for disaster! Unrealistic expectations, impatience and misinformation are alot of the things killing people nowadays! Bodybuilding is supposed to be " healthy " & a life long sport ! Mother nature and Father ⏲ time can't be ignored. Arrogance and ignorance destroys any person with a indestructible attitude mentality! Be grateful for what you have, do your best to work within your own genetics and have fun! We are sometimes our own worst enemies unfortunately...

I read his blood results when I visited Tony Huge 4 years ago. His kidney readings were abnormal, beyond high. He has keep it a secret. He knew he had kidney failure and continued to abuse ped’s and blame his kidney failure on a peptide which he admitted to taking 3x’s the overdose amount. Boston was not honest, he deceived everyone in the name of experimentation. Imo he suffered from sever depression and this was his was of suicide. R.I.p.

He was known as being somewhat of a family man. I hope this is not true but you must know more than alot of us. If you wish to share more let us now, how shocking it may be. Anyways, RIP Bostin.

I don't think deserving has anything to do with it. Also, I don't think you can call this a simple mistake. It didn't happen overnight. It took him more than a decade of total abuse to do this to himself. Kidney failure couldn't even stop him from abusing his body. It's a tragedy and a terrible thing, but it was totally avoidable. He chose to keep doing what he was doing and the inevitable finally happened.

Yes if he was 120lbs never went to the gym in his life and never took steroids he wouldn’t have the dissecting aeorta but if he was a natural 120lbs competitive marathon runner he would probably suffer of the same problem. So you can assume genetics is the main factor then lifestyle choices

My days of competing were over by the time Bostin’s transformation video dropped. He did have a small Cult following then and there were some young kids following his coat trails. I’m glad I’m older and had already been educated by then. That kid “Big natty daddy” was one of the first I remember. I hope the other kids didn’t do the same damage and can still have a life past their 30’s. I hated on him in the beginning. Mostly because of his arrogance, but him using himself as a test subject really cemented the fact of the dangers of abuse. I now see it that way and have respect for him. I really hope Ariel, his Mom, Dad, and son can still have a normal life after this. Life is precious and it’s no longer worth the risk of losing everything for more muscle tissue. I hope this opens a lot of peoples eyes because steroid abuse is so common now vs the forum days in the early 2000’s.
