Moving into a small townhouse soon and I think this is the perfect option! And especially for the price... I mean I can 2 of these, one for upstairs and downstairs, or just one playbar 500, sonos beam, etc. It's a no brainer.

Just got one from Amazon and all i have to say is WOW!!! Awesome sound and the remote is cray cray!!!! NOTE: Enter the code(TV/CBL/Game box/etc...) provided and test the functionality.... If the functionality does not work, it the VOL - and test the functionality. Keep doing this until you device works as expected. Once you get the right functionality of the device, hit exit!!

@@cleotorres5632 Hey there,I would give it 8/10,sound is sublime for a single sound bar,loses 2 points for ridiculously sized remote!It is what it is a sound bar so dont expect fully submersive surround sound,but for boom and clarity its spot on! Hope that helps you

Thanks for the great review. Planning to use it as desktop speaker for Mac for my video calls (I have a separate mic) and KZread. Also planning to use a 3.5 stereo jack to avoid the audio lag. Would you recommend this set up?

To Use the optical connection plug the optical cable included into the back of the bose bar and back of tv and turn the tv audio setting to optical out and your ready to go. Except for a very few minor details, the VLog is excellent. Do one needs to turn on before programming Universal control? Other changing it to blue tooth etc was a little quick.

The dialog mode however is much better on the Bose. It just depends on what is more important to you dialogue of bass?

Great review just bought a Samsung Q series and been thinking about a soundbar the Bose soundbar you reviewed looks like just what I need but I seen at Sam's club they have one called Bose Solo for about $40 less than the Bose Solo 5 so what's the difference ?

Or sams is selling a really old first version 🤔 but regardless if you want a deal bose sales on eBay refurbished ones in New packaging with full warranty and satisfaction guarantee for as low as 99 bucks. But regardless the sams is likely the solo 5. Just check for Bluetooth and optical connectivity with remote and you should be fine. So it should work in any optical slot. what happens sometimes it the positioning of the Treads is turned in a different way look directly at the end of your optical cable and put it in the slot exactly so that the cable slides straight in lined up. If it's not lined up exactly it will not push in all the way once you line it up just give it a good flush push it will go in. Let me know if you get it

Or you can program the bose remote control to do your cable box just follow my remote guide in this video. The Bose tv speaker is a good option for similar size and specs, but you can add bass. I have a 55in Samsung tv, and the speakers in my tv are comparable to the Bose 5 that I just bought. Basically, you’d have to really pay attention to hear real sound difference, other than more bass. Am I missing something? Why am I not knocked off my feet with this product? You’re thoughts please.

Their main strength and what their mostly used to bring out clear dialog which is a major weakness in most systems and TV speakers. TV speakers vary heavily depending on brand and what series of Television you own. So if you own as an example a Q90t or better the speakers on those TVs are decent. For the size of the solo it provides excellent sound. the way I look at it is you're probably looking for a true surround sound bar? in that case I think the bose700 would be something you should look at. The comparison is not even close and the 700 complete system will blow you away in my opinion. Not everybody wants that though a lot of people just needs better dialogue 700 will provide you with better dialogue and blow you away at the same time. there is also others they cost quite a bit more but will give you that amazing sound that you're seeking here is my Bose folder with lots of videos on several different products from bose that might be better suited for you kzread.info/head/PLMdd-qroR8HVnekwKC2X0IHaqBbcIglaJ

I'm very satisfied with mine, but unfortunately not yet programed the remote fully, it's definitely not foe neurodivergent people, i.e. adhd! if you could cover full programming that'll be wonderful

Thank you so much for your support watching and subscribing I'm thankful 🙏 😇 I definitely like this product full review in the video😉 but No bass module can be added to this product but If you want a full setup i recommend the Bose soundtouch 300 or the Bose 500 or the Bose 700 depending on your budget these systems you can add a sub and rear speakers to make a complete 5.1 surround sound or you can add two subs to add a 5.2 surround sound. Hello I am not getting any sound. Plug in all cords my tv is a Samsung without the optical connector do that make a different. Also do the tv need to be on with sound?

Loving my Soundbar 700 and haven't had any issues up until about a week ago. Soundbar downloaded an update per the Bose Music app. Since then there is a cracking staticy sound from the right rear surround speaker. I've unplugged both surrounds and Soundbar and plugged back in....still there. I've switched both surround speaker and the crackling sound remains on the right side only. Any ideas?

First off let me say thank you so much for watching my video and subscribing I'm thankful for your support let me give you a link so you can check out all my Bose 700 videos they might be able to help if you have not yet seen them Bose: kzread.info/head/PLMdd-qroR8HVnekwKC2X0IHaqBbcIglaJ Now having said that this is quite concerning to me as you are now the second person just today that is saying the exact same thing if that's the case then that means it was definitely the software update one thing you could do is to do a complete master reset of your entire Soundbar forcing it to redownload the software I say that because I did the software update and I'm not having the issue which means that it could just be a number of people that were effective I don't have massive scale numbers or anything but again you are the second person just today so at this point I would definitely recommend you resetting it and starting with my setup from scratch hopefully this will fix your issue at this point I believe it was just a software problem and it is not a problem with the actual product which is good news because likely Bose can fix this quickly with a new software update.

Remember identical except the speaker shape and names but the 650 has a center channel sound that is like adding a bose 700 on steroids to a complete surround experience. In my eys center channel experience is a critical piece and the 650 truly shines in giving you the entire package at a healthy price category

I own the 650 i had a flood in one of my homes and it got damaged. Its a amazing experience and system. But i often wonder is it truly worth the price difference between the SoundTouch system🤔

@@JbTechFanatic oh I'm sorry to hear that. For me, it's worth the price difference if it can add that smile....... The one that tickles when the speakers just sound amazing. My only dilemma is the small openings of the omni jewel speakers compared to the direct reflecting speakers. I want to place the front left and right speakers about 15 feet apart. An employee once told me that the 600 has more depth and the 650 is more crisp. I want that immerse atmos-like soundstage Going to give a good listen at the Bose store this summer to make my purchase.

it was horrible i lost a ton of stuff lol. So Yeah the depth doesn't really make sense (to me). Its the exact same system the 650 has the extra Soundbar and is buy far bose best experience. To clarify what i mean by that I know that the speakers look and are different form factor as they are trying to make up for the lack of the bar. But i tested side by side with and without and could not pick up the difference bolt extremely high quality. But with the bar and everything man oh man amazing But everyone is different as far as what they hear.

When connected with bluetooth can you control the volume using the samsung tv remote? Also does the tv automatically turn on/off the soundbar when connected via bluetooth?

But optical is a good way if not.You will need to use the manual remote control setup through your Samsung tv menu. Set what inputs using Bluetooth bar and set to power on with tv and source

But even the most premium Samsung tvs sound bars will often beat. But this bar will really help bring clear dialogue that tvs just often don't do well. Bose doesn't have a menu unfortunately but it will pull up your TV's menu once connected. My Samsung tv recognizes what source and the name in this case bose so it says bose on the optical volume up or down. What tv make and model year do you have? I will find the code you need to get it working 😇

I purchased a Sony Bravia 46" 3-D TV back in 2013 that does not have an optical connector but a regular Audio output Jack. Bose only gives an optical cable and the instructions says an option 2 says the same cable works it will not. Bose gives a web site in the instructions and it comes up code 403 Forbidden. The solo has no HDMI cable connect either. Now what

Ok so as far as your tv goes it definitely should have a optical port as that has been around for a very long time and the bravia tv was a hi end tv so that is really weird. Lets do this can you tell me the model number of your tv so i can see if it has any method of connections that will work with this bar? Also aux is basically a headphone cable that would work or if you have those old-school yellow white red cables you can run the white or red audio to your tv and into the plug on back of bar.

bose solo5 has an extra port at the back under the sticker, any idea what its for? its right next to the usb socket.

Lol I'm not sure what one you mean. So yeah the usb is the service port i apologize i missed that you said next to it. To the right the very next port is the aux port but do I talk about it when I go over each port in the video at 320 in?

Awwww nice like a hidden clue lol. I honestly don't know. What happens often with tech is in different countries they get more or different features. Since they are all made in the same shell it could be no available for us so they covered it with the stickers.

It is not loud like it was at the demo please help if you know how to make it louder

This can be a few things easily fixed first if it's from Bluetooth make sure that your phone or tablet volume is turned to the max. Then adjust the volume of the bar itself with the Bose remote. Keep in mind that there are different kinds of Bluetooth depending on what kind of phone or tablet you use to cast will highly depend on the quality given to the bar if it is not true CD quality it will not sound the same as a direct input source like Optical. If it's giving you problems from your TV use an optical cable for connection and make sure the proper stereo sound channel is pick as your out. if you pick a format like Dolby atmos. that is not supported it will not sound right and it will be very low and or even cut out your audio. Change your TV to stereo mode and use the Bose remote to turn up the bar to your desired volume. You will know if it is a problem with your bar if you've done the following put on a Blu-ray movie connected to your bar with Optical out volume turned up on your Bose remote and the proper sound Source chosen if you don't get loud enough sound at that point you might have a defective product product. Remember dialogue mode will tone down all the other sound files and turn up the voice level. try toggling that on and off to see what you like better. Let me know 😇

But Bar compared to bar the bose definitely wins in my opinion. especially when it come to dialogue mode. But the fact to sony comes with a separate sub bass wise it will be better adding bass. However the bass module is definitely nothing special but for the price can't complain. If you are programing the bose remote to your Samsung Qled TV it Should be 00060. To help At 7:20 in this video I show you how using TV code 00060 and the steps that follow 😊 I'm not sure why your book only has two zeros & not 3? But hopefully this helps enjoy your new setup 🤩

Thanks so much for helping me decide. I was tossed up between making a mistake of getting a ZVOX that QVC is pushing like a Dope pusher. I love BOSE. I had Camaros. If Corvettes and Monte Carlos installed BOSE in dash Stereos back in the early 90s and 2000s that is a selling point. Why did QVC and HSN stop selling BOSE and switch to garbage ZVOX? I am buying BOSE for one thing. STAR WARS. I want to hear the crackling of the Light Sabres and the sound of the Millenium Falcon when when the engines go into warp drive. I want to hear Darth Vader's breathing Device like I never heard before. For the First time I can Watch 9 Year old Anakin Skywalker piloting his Pod Racer with the Electric Crackling of electricity going from one engine to the other. Episode ONE Racing is the greatest scene in Star Wars and with the Solo 5 Capabilities there is only one way to hear it . LOUD> Imagine Playing Star Wars Episode 1 Racer on the Switch .It is only $14.00 Digital with Bluetooth with the BOSE Experience you will be in the Cockpit as if you were Anakin. Make sure you wear a Helmet.
