The radial piston pump is a high-pressure pump with two pistons in a cylinder. The pistons move opposite to one another and push the liquid out through an outlet port. This is an efficient way to increase the pressure in the delivery line, for example, when using an injection molding machine or during spray painting.
The two pistons are arranged on both sides of the cylinder and move radially inward, as opposed to axially like in a linear piston pump. The resulting compact design allows for higher pressures without increasing dimensions or weight compared to other pumps of comparable performance levels.
