This is why these anime canon episodes ruin part of the plot. Boruto acted out of character and way too similar to Naruto in the previous arc when he sacrificed his life to stop a war when he could care less if Code has to be killed in order to protect himself, his dad and Kawaki.

Also Konohamaru fought a ghost fish/snake (I think) with Boruto 2 years ago that was a spiritual entity like the Reaper that performs the Reaper death seal... 😆

Love this episode shows the chemistry love they have for themselves and kawaki sad to know what’s to come

This ghost appeared in the Naruto filler.

I just got to the scenes where Boruto and Kawaki are basically just meeting and boy, are they at each other’s throat so seeing this made me look forward to their future scenes. I am loving this new arc right now!

I mean technically there is a spirit world since there should be an afterlife or some place where souls end up but they can be recalled with the reanimate on jutsu or be sealed away in the reaper death seal

There is and it’s called the “Pure Land”. Incidentally, Boruto’s Jougan was referred to as the “pure eye” by Urashiki. It could just be a coincidence, but it could also be a clue to the true power of the Jougan.

This episode was much appreciated. I kinda wish they would revamp the sub-par episodes animation-wise. Maybe people would find the story more interesting (example, that invisible fight after Kagura..)

They did revamp it actually on hulu and the animation was a little.... Lackluster to put it lightly. But we at least what Boru to actually did to funamushi

These two just see a ghost in 0:23. Hinawari sees it when it appeared in the photo in 1:00. 😨😰😱.

I really don't wanna believe after everything these two did together, They Are Gonna Clash.

Isn't this the same place that Tenten and Kakashi checked out trying to find out if there were ghosts in the Steam Ninja Scrolls arc? Where Kakashi scared Tenten, the real ghost scared two teens

this one was my favorite episode in the whole series thus far

Isn't that ghost from a filler episode in Naruto (I don't remember what it was called but I remember that Naruto was with team Guy during this mission)

I feel like this thing is an otherworldy being like the Reaper seal, Haze ninja's golem and Soma (and possibly even Jashin).

Time for Haimawari and Kawaki to go to Ninja school together.

Guy was going crazy from this Steam Ninja scrolls ghost in June 2019! But the thing that was actually creepy were those stone statues in this episode that had been wacked by Guy (I think) which Boruto and Kawaki were observing because no one would want to see those things come alive... *Temple Mission trauma flashbacks.... Poor Kei Kurono...

Its funny to see this because in The Naruto fillers there some stories involving ghosts

the fact that sasuke mangekyo sharingan sfx was used on a ghost from a filler episode seem funny to me. Both was used for horror but on different situation (mental horror) (ghost)

Plot twist: That was Naruto's shadow clone trolling them

1. Fused Momoshiki used Shikamaru's shadow paralysis jutsu on them to where they couldn't move and Boruto had to throw his vanishing rasengan in order to free them and save them. 2. After the fight vs Naruto and Sasuke, Fused Momoshiki replenished his health and chakra with the scientific ninja tool from Katasuke and ate 3 more chakra pills which replenished him even further and still lost 1v1 to KID Boruto while Naruto and Sasuke were pinned down by chakra rods. 3. Base Boruto using a shadow clone was capable of blitzing Fused Momoshiki and punching him in the stomach, activated his jougan and countered Momoshiki's taijutsu which created an opening for another vanishing rasengan hit to his ribcage all before the real Boruto came out of the sky with his giant vanishing rasengan(that was mixed with both Boruto and Naruto's chakra) to defeat Fused Momoshiki. But the *FACT* remain that KID Boruto did indeed fight *FUSED* Momoshiki 1v1 and held his own and won proving he's already Otsutsuki tier, it's not debatable.
