I have same system on my 2018 Silverado. It’s awesome and still extremely pleased. It was my first modification.

Thank you!! I have a 2020 Challenger Scat 392 ordered from factory, and love it. for two years I have examined every possible exhaust upgrade. Mid-muffler delete, mini-bullets, to very expensive Magnaflow X-Mod. Borla has always been right there on the tip of my wallet. Though different vehicle entirely (I do love your truck) you have convinced me. Borla S is the way to go. Thank you and keep up the good work. You never know what gear-head is watching and learning. See you out there on the road.

I have a 2021 Custom Trailboss 6.2 with DFM and did the muffler and flapper valve delete and it sounded horrible on deceleration so got a Pulsar LT to disable DFM , sounds a lot more consistent now but it does still have a bit of drone to it cruising around 60mph. I should mention I have the 3.73 rear end also . I am saving up for a Borla S Type after watching this video. Those tips looks great and so does the sound!

Maikaʻi loa! I installed and reviewed my Borla S-Type this past summer and it is hands down the best exhaust I have had on any V8 truck. Great video brother!

Honestly this confirms my decision to not spend a bunch of money on a exhaust and just keep the muffler cut out. I'll save the money and put it towards header

@@freddyp4189 You get what you pay for my friend, the tone of a muffler delete doesn't have the audio tone that a well designed exhaust system sounds like. You pay $100, you get $100 sound. I will buy Borla or Corsa ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.

Sounds really nice! I went the cheaper route with muffler and flapper delete and covered the 6 "resonators" but added a Flowmaster Super HP2 muffler. Got excellent results. Now im deleting the stock tips and "resinators" and adding dual black tips! You're 💯 right...Chevy should have used dual tips from the start.

22 custom trail boss with the 6.2. Borla s type true duals...sounds absolutely amazing! Best sounding truck I've ever heard

I think the Borla kit sounds much nicer than the muffler delete did, not as raspy and a nicer deeper tone.

BINGO you referred to it sounding more in tune like an instrument. Stealing this quote from someone else long ago when I had a Trailblazer SS, muffler delete doesn't sound "good" it just sounds like your car needs a muffler! ;)

I have a 21 5.3 and my dad has a 21 6.2. we both have borla XR1 with flex pipe, resonator, and flap delete and they both sound amazing !! Nice when cruising down the road but roars when you get on it

Muffler delete was the best option I have done to my yukon, and ive tried many options with my exhaust.

First I put a Mopar intake on my 2019 Ram Rebel. Then, after being rear ended, I replaced the stock exhaust with a Borla ATAK cat-back. I had to apologize to my wife, daughter and neighbors in advance considering my cold starts at 4am. I LOVE the sound when I drop the hammer!

Just subbed to your channel bro, great content! Currently waiting for my 2022 Trail Boss and I find your videos extremely helpful for when I start my mods! Definitely considering Borla after watching this.

Great video as always. The truck looks and sounds great. Best part about that Borla system is the carbon fiber tips. They look awesome. I just put a Flowmaster American Thunder on my '22, 5.3 Trail Boss. It sounds good, low rumble, not too loud, SS lifetime warranty. Half the price of Borla which is why I don't have those sweet carbon fiber tips.... It's difficult to compare the sound based on a video but they are similar. I'll give GM credit where credit is due. My '22, C8, Z51 sounds awesome right out of the box. The cold starts are amazing and loud as hell. Keep the videos coming!

The Borla system is nice, but I love the Flowmaster sound. I've got to say, it sounds way better than the muffler delete. Nice job!

Great vid!! With Borla u def get what u pay for. I also researched a ton before settling on the S-Type instead of the Atak as the Atak was confirmed as overkill unless u like to "look @ me" all over town. Neighbors everywhere also weren't fans. The S-Type still sounds like a beast on cold starts, provides a very clean & respectable rumble that's not overbearing pulling thru neighborhoods, and always puts a smile to your face when u lean into it! I'm reminded its worth every penny every time I drive it and it makes an essentially 6.2L Vette engine in my Sierra sound like it should! 😜🤘

My 2016 Chevy 2500HD 6.0 with a custom dual borla s-type muffler and 3rd cat delete sounds awesome too! 👍🤛😎

Borla Ataks on my 2018 still sounds amazing. Great product.

There was a guy that had a Touring model for my 18 Sierra on Let Go for about a year. I picked it of for $500 and was surprised by how much louder it was than i expected. Every single video i watched about them said they weren’t louder than stock. So i can only imagine the sound difference from stock to the S type.

Opus the same one on my 2020 GMC AT4 6.2. Love it. I kept the USB ports, couldn’t see spending the extra $$ on the carbon fiber tips.

It’s sounds like a man’s truck now! I love the sound more grown up not to loud not to quiet just perfect when you need it to be. I put a borla xr1 racing muffler on mine (401392) I took off the oem muffler and flapper and put the borla xr1 in its place and welded all 6 mesh insert and kept stock exhaust tips ( USBs) sounds identical to yours!

It really is just perfect for a 40 something year old who wants a rumble but doesnt want a headache in the cab. This video really sold me on it along with my previous borla system I had on a CTS-V. @@0AboynamedSue0 cold start sounds healthy, minimal drone, sounds amazing when you get fully into it! My wife hasn't complained about it either and it's her rig! For $200, it's WELL WORTH IT!

The algorithm is working just fine today...I'll still probably go with the muffler delete for my Suburban, but the Borla sounds damn good.

I'm still looking for a piece of property to put up my 56x112x16 garage/man cave! Sounds great. I'm on my 3rd muffler for my 6.2 Trail Boss now. Stock, Flowmaster FlowFX and now Flowmaster 50 Series. The FlowFX was crazy loud at cruising speeds. At 80+, it was unbearable. That's why I went went with the 50 series. It's much more subdued for normal driving but I miss the roar at WOT. Will definitely put this system on my to do list now.

I completely agree that Flowmasters the way to go the borla sounds great but the Flowmasters 800 bucks to Borderlands 2 Grand. I have the Flowmaster American Thunder which is supposed to come with a 40 series Muffler but mine came with a 50 Series for whatever reason but when I heard it I was very happy with the sounds great just the right volume

@@chrismarbrey9678 heck, my 50 series was like $150 for the muffler and $40 to have it welded in. It's exactly what I wanted and expected for $200. Better than a muffler delete but doesn't sound as good as the Borla system. I will say that I do think the Borla sounds great and it's probably worth the $2k for the sound and quality alone.

I personally like the atak system. I had a 18 6.2 and it had no muffler or resonator. After I tuned the truck and could get past the 4K limiter, I could set car alarms off. But in the cab it wasn’t bad at all. When I would start it, it roared to life and the sound bounced off my neighbors house and was like I busted a ear drum. It was definitely overkill.

Even though this was over a year ago and you’ve passed 100k, still subbed! Anything for a shop with a lift for the Texan Haole! Unodakine And those tips look so much better than the factory HDMI tips!

It's preference on some of it. My 15 Silverado has a Corsa sport and I love it. No drone now that the 4 cylinder mode shut off. I got the exhaust for 100$ from my buddy so I couldn't pass it up. My GF 17 Tahoe I did a muffler delete. Moved the stock resonator to the muffler location and added a vibrant ultra quiet resonator in the rear to a 5 inch tip. Sounds amazing super bassy, only a little drone in 4 cylinder mode. If I have that shut off it has 0. Not as loud as the Corsa sport tho

glad you teased the long tube headers for the trail boss. i have kooks long tube headers and borla atak on my f150 5.0 coyote, its stupid loud. (i have several exhaust videos on my channel) i highly recommend kooks for headers and borla for catback systems!

Borla would be nice Low on my list but definitely still on there.See you went with the carbon.Cant beat the color scheme on our models.I told ya blue black and carbon.Shes looking sick brother,congrats

I did the muffle delete on my 2015 coyote, couldn't justify 2000 just for exhaust, 60 bucks in my area for cutting the muffler and replacing that with a straight pipe

The borla has a really nice tone, more refined and honestly with a truck like that, the fit and finish of the parts you put on it is probably worth the price tag. However, for $100, that muffler delete wasn’t bad!

When you decide to go long tube headers you should go with Texas speed long tube headers. They sound awesome on my Silverado.

Sounds great!! When you put longtube headers it will get a lot louder just to let ya know. I have a 18 with longtubes no cats and a Borla XR1 and it's loud.

Its hard to beat a Borla. I put one on my 2021 AT4 6.2L and it sound incredible. Not too loud, deep rumble, loud on heavy acceleration, but quiet at hiway speeds. (Borla 40359). Not Cat-back, just muffler replacement. $190 installed. Love it.

ProXS Muffler ? Maybe I should had went that route instead of the Borla Atak Crate Muffler. It was so dam loud and droned like crazy on the highway. I had to switch back to stock muffler cause my anxiety was threw the roof hahaha

@@JohnD0129 Oh yeah, the ATAK is like a straight pipe! The ProXS is perfect in my opinion. The only time I hear any drone is on a long incline on the highway at 65mph. And it's barely noticeable. I give it 5 stars. (And CHEAP! I actually ordered mine on Amazon and had my muffler shop install it)

Nice video sir! I have a Corsa Sport on my 2016 Cadillac Escalade. I was thinking about some headers and a tune to get the horsepower to about 500. Thoughts? I ain’t ready to drop $8K on a Magnuson Supercharger.
