It really is decent for the money!!

Nowthen, I’ve always pronounced it Bory-Alis like the aurora. Yes I suppose it is a micro-brand but it’s regarded as one of the very best. I have hankered for one for a while and love the Explorer lookalike but they sell out really fast plus there is (or used to be anyway) a 50% deposit then the rest when built. I think thats fair but some don’t like it, the quality though is fantastic for the money. Still think I may search for a pre-owned one to avoid customs and VAT. Comparing it to a Tudor or Rolex does not really hold water for they are what they are, the brand name Borealis will get a nod from most watch nerds anyway. Great review Andrew.

Yeah I've owned a Borealis a few years back and really enjoyed it. Great quality and like you say,, well respected in the community

I wasn't sure at first as it looked too much like a Tudor/Rolex rip off (Although I am a big Tudor fan). However as the video went on I started to quite like them. I checked out the website and saw the Sintra range. They look like an Omega Aquaterra homage, but for the price look amazing. I'm actually now considering buying a Borealis Sintra! Yeah they really surprised me with the quality,,, not overly expensive and good looking.

I've hummed and hawed over this watch for awhile. One the one hand it is a beautiful piece, on the other San Martin does this exact watch with a cheaper mov't for half the price with great specs and build quality. Is the Miyota 9 worth paying more? I'm with you on the dial - it's not really my thing. Great review and please wear that bb58 in good health - it's beautiful!

It's an okay watch . But no getting away from the fact it's a blackbay rip off . For the money you could probably get a better watch and more accurate. Don't know if I would wear it , if like yourself I had a real Blackbay .

Homage junk imho. Save for the real thing (Tudor BB58) or else get a nice blue dial Seiko instead. Just my view 😀 Happy New Year all!

I got to keep the watch but I was never paid - there was no 'deal' in place - I said what I wanted about the watch and happened to like it.... no big secret. They never asked anything more than I do a video out it
