I guess the question is, would she have different appendages to screw on, when using two-handed guns? Because I'm not sure how well she could manage a shotgun or a rocket launcher with just a hook.

That would of been awesome. I think the idea of not having them go for vaults but instead business opportunitys together would be awesome. Proving to people that these are the guys you want to buy from. A spin off like Wonderlands but with lore. I think the vault hunting story's are nice but they are getting boring. A new goal for these characters would be pretty awesome in my eyes

@@fel524 I don't see how devs focusing on a new game instead of dividing the workforce into spinoffs of side characters as main characters is deemed lazy. Unless you're talking about other things then I can see why but at this case, definitely not lazy at all

Future Vault Hunters I'd like to see: A Traunt family member: since the Traunt bloodline is so large, I don't see how we can have another ex-soldier kind of vault hunter and said ex-soldier could be a Traunt. One of their skill trees could revolve around making elements more effective at what they do, maybe even having the elements do things they couldn't do before (e.g. the fire element can now do efficient damage to shields) and maybe have a skill tree that's all about debuffing your enemies through taunts. A Goliath with a Tink buddy: Ever since BL2 introduced those goofy idiots, I always wanted to be in the shoes of one and after the introduction of the Beastmaster, we could probably spice it up and give them a Tink to accompany them. Obviously one of the Goliath's action skills would be their rage mode and their other skills could involve decking your Tink buddy out with powerful armour and weapons, maybe even having a skill where you could dual wield assault rifles and even shotguns! Nomad: Not much to say about this one, I just think they're neat and their obsession with taking their enemies loot couldn't be more fitting for an actual vault hunter, one of their action skills could involve sending in an army of bandits and you can even mark enemies so you and your buddies (either controlled by a computer or player) will do more damage to them. Clay: Just like the Nomad, I don't have much to say, he'll probably also be like Nisha as well. What I can say is that he probably didn't have much screen time because he is planning to be a future vault hunter.

@@Skdladmalajd I'd say Tina could be a possibility. Essentially having skills like a mix of Kreig's fire based skills, and Axton's grenade/explosive skill boosts could be good. Probably even have action skills come from her various demolition tools and prowess with explosives.

I can imagine the Nomad and the Goliath/Tink duo, being ex-bandits that survived the purge of non-believers, during the forming of the COV. The Nomad could be interesting, character-wise, as they supposedly aren't the most sociable folks around, which could probably lead to a thing with Tannis, given her own lack of social skills in the past. The Goliath/Tink duo could always have a vibe akin to George & Lennie from Of Mice & Men, with the Tink being the brains of the bunch (and possibly what helped the Goliath from getting suckered into the COV), with the Goliath sort of thinking of the Tink as a big brother of sorts (ironic, given the size difference). And speaking of the COV, it could be cool seeing the newest host of the phase leech skill, seeing as Tyreen's been disposed of. Which not only could lead to interesting gameplay as some vampyric badass, but could lead to a dynamic similar to Soma Cruz from Castlevania, as well.

Tina being a playable character that focuses heavily on bombs and explosives sounds awesome and would fit the narrative well. I actually think she would fit nicely within BL4s main 4 characters with her following in the footsteps of her idols, leaving B team temporarily to join up with the new three vault hunters

I've been thinking about that possibility for a while and I think it would be great not just for the player but for the game too she's one of the best and most popular characters and if she was playable I imagine the sells would skyrocket not for the story but because tinas playable I know I would buy it but I'll probably get the next game no matter what

Yes to Knoxx. He's hilarious. He has experience and a badass mech suit. His inability to stay dead is a running gag that still has some miles left in it.

honestly, being able to play as hammerlock and having a skill tree around jakobs weapons would be amazing.

Tyreene and Troy would’ve been an awesome twist on a playable siren powers, I really hope they have a leech siren in the next borderlands 🤞

I want Vault Hunters that are actual characters with agency in the story where the NPCs don't talk *at* but actually talk *to*

I predicted that Teen Tina was gonna be a playable character in 3. I was wrong, but I just loved to imagine her with a class tree centered around splash damage and explosions. Kind of like Moze I guess in that way, but no walker. Maybe even a branch dedicated entirely to torgue weapons and shit.

Fun fact, some NPCs on a Sanctuary have a voiceline about Lorelei making a good VH.

Loader Bot and Gortys would make interesting playable vault hunters like Claptrap was but more refined then him. On a side note I would love to be able to play as him again. I found it fun to be the robot that was every other vault hunter at the time.

I always thought of having Dr Ted (the forbidden brother that T.K mentioned) as a vault hunter and him being an actual doctor licence and all.

I wanted to play as clay immediately after his introduction! He’s definitely one of the cooler bl3 characters!

From the moment i saw Butcher Rose i fell in love with her character. When i finished that dlc i was searching the internet if ppl wanted to play as her. Sooo.... I agree! ^_^

I feel like pickle from the pre sequel would be kinda cool. He could have a slam ability and laser gun as an other ability. the arguments for the laser gun would be like continuously firing (like a laser beam),automatic laser shotgun, and burst. The left side of the arguments would be corrosive, ice, Electric and would default normally to fire.

It’s a good idea but Pickel is one of the most annoying little pricks in the franchise.

My friend and I thought of a group for a possible prequel mostly focused on the Crimson Lance. It'd be Knoxx, Steele, Athena with a different skill tree, and then either Roland's former boss (Higgins?) or Typhon. I think that'd be fun

I am so glad that you included Butcher Rose. She was such a unique and fun villain, unlike the Calypso twins.

I feel like moxxxi would have charm abilities to convince her enemies to fight for her and then commit suicide. I think she'd have a special tech skill tree too though, with a move that changes her ffyl into a mechanical monstrosity that kills the closest enemy with a 90 second recharge (that could be buffed to be quicker)

Fiona would be fun to play as and Maybe as the real handsome jack just as fan service and no lore. Great video

Honestly yeah Rose I could see, because of her very good design and how she was in the story, she was cold and tough but was like that to survive but also prove her family was right about controlling the creatures. I also originally thought when I saw art showing off her and bounty of blood she was a new vault hunter, with a mix of using her blade and guns. It could work that after she did what she set out to do and her gang got butchered by the hunters she would move on to find her own path or something new and maybe going to see if she can tame vault monsters or such could be her next goal

Some of these I expected (Tina, Rose, Fiona) but the ones I didn't expect (General Knox, Tyreen/Troy ) seem more fun to play as.

I would love to play with Mr Torgue such a fun character for me with all the scream and sounds he make

I’ve been saying I want an eridian guardian as a character for ages now

I was expecting Fiona to show up in 3, I'd still love to see her in a future game. Rose would be a fun one to play as well. The only ones that I'd add to the list that I'd like to see made VHs would be Lorelei (war with Maliwan winds down, specific set of skills that need to be used Rhys suggests she works with the VH again). One tree would be gun heavy, one tree leadership based (similar to Fl4k's friendship thing), and the other would be something about scavenging/looting/upgrades. The other is more of an open book but I just liked the idea of the character even though I know she was more of a throwaway and that was Naoko Katagawa. She's got a good backstory that would transfer well to being a VH (being hunted because of her family name, doesn't want to return to the Maliwan company, needs to make a living somehow and finds out she has some killing skills. I love the idea that she says that she hopes she never sees the VH again and then she could end up as one of them). Because there's so little about the character, her trees would be pretty open to play with. Also, I'm game for either Clay or BALEX (in some form).

Clap trap should be a vault hunter again it seemed like he got his action skill back in borderlands 2 but when he's a vault hunter this time instead of his action skill being randomness it just turns him invisible like zero and boosts his skills and his skill trees could be three of the things he could do with his action skill previously like gunzerking like Sal where he gets majorly increased gun damage and magazine size when invisible buzzaxe rampage like kreig where he gets majorly increased melee damage while invisible and a mini deathtrap like gaige to fight for him while invisible

No joke tho, Tiny Tina is a full on VH, form little we saw here in a fight (the fight for the Boom Town that is, a specially if you let the NPC's do it them selves) she does have special abilities, she summons a hologram that explodes, she throws dynamite, and she has her own custom revolver that shoots mini rockets (I'm pretty sure it's a Torg one too).. Oh and It's no question whether or not she would be a VH, it's just a metter of would WE be able to play as her.

5H4DW-TP could be a good vault hunter. He's action skill could be an improve version of Claptrap's previous action skill, considering he's essentially that program.

i have a simple base character concept for Fiona. one of her skills makes it so whenever she reloads she changes elemental type (with a full magazine it also changes types but she won't do the reload animation). When shooting a non-elemental gun, the shot becomes the elemental type she has selected. Her action skill would then give any gun (elemental or non-elemental) all 3 elemental types for a certain amount of time.

I like the idea of a Atlas spin off with Knoxx, Steele, Roland, and another soldier as the main characters doing missions against competitive corperations. The soldier dies on the final mission and this reveals why Roland left the Crimson Lance as Knoxx didn't care about their teammate or Steele called them weak.

If we ever get to play as a Leech Siren it would be interesting to have their active skill restore their HP as they kill enemies

@@retrogamelover2012 definitely would be awesome. The only Siren powers we haven’t played as are leech and shift so it’d be awesome to eventually play as them. My bet for how shift would work is that you’d be able to turn hostile turrets or robots to be allies for a period of time since it’s the closest to manipulating technology the way Angel and Tannis do. Hopefully we eventually get them as playable Siren classes

Been in borderlands since day 1 and had no clue Steele was a siren.

We dont have many (or really any) characters that use some form of power armor (General Knoxx uses a mech suit, I'm thinking of some Atlas-type armor but beefier and that fits onto an exoskeleton frame). The whole idea I have is that they'd always wear the armor and their skill trees and abilities are centered around the suit. Maybe there could be an aspect where the suit absorbs damage, but you need to repair the suit. As it loses durability your abilities inside are suppressed more and more (less movement capabilities, melee damage lowered etc.) but if you keep the suit maintained you get very good physical improvements that you can mix and match depending on what you want. The character would be centered around assault and melee, and generally runnin' n' gunnin', maybe with some suit-mounted weapons like a grenade launcher to increase your range and accuracy with grenades, a flamethrower, a machine gun etc. But depending on what you use it will use more power which can be regenerated by getting charge packs or spending some cash to use a station.

I'd like to see Timothy come back as a playable character for DLC or maybe even a new game but instead of having the abilities he had he actually after escaping from the club that he worked that he was trapped in he comes back as a bit of a mimic character or he can mimic the appearance of other enemies or maybe even other characters

BL4 should take a page from Wonderlands and let us build our own VH or like you said add different VHs to play from since it’s suppose to be an endgame type of event.

I have loved the idea of tannis as a playable vault hunter for so long, especially after she got to work alongside Typhon. Being a vault hunter was originally her dream and I think making her have character development enough for that to finally be possible for her when she previously felt like she couldn’t would be really cool

I think you are onto something, like imagine a character in a main or dlc campaign and if you aren’t playing as them you have to go to them but if you do play as them you could get a different section of the campaign or it changes the campaign some way.

Tbh I can see Fiona becoming a siren idk what one but with her "spy" pistol better have a scaling damage for current weapons in hand

If moxxi were a vault hunter, there should be a skill where she seduces people to fight for her. If Torgue were to be a vault hunter, there should be a skill where his swears aren't 'bleeped'

Ugh I always wanted to play as Lilith again, she got a major power buff and was just so much cooler than her playable appearance

i feel that an aged up Tina thats running the Soldier thing with the deployable turret trying to fill the Roland shaped hole in the team while still working through not having him to rely on would be an interesting turn for her, maybe not as a playable character but even just as a character shift

had a idea for a BL3 DLC Vault Hunter would be a playable Goliath who was a Ex-Bandit Gang Leader who was essentially like Vaughn, having his Bandit Clan join the COV so he rebelled. He would be a lot like Kreig, being that he is just a Badass version of a Bandit Type and he would have goofy ass dialogue. He wouldn't really have much of a Action Skill, instead he would have the ability to switch between both Gunzerk (Like a standard BL2 Goliath) and Berserk (Like a enraged Goliath), and depending on what mode he was in, his dialogue would either be mentally slow, or extremely extremely angry. Gameplay wise, Gunzerker Mode would be his Default, He wouldn't be able to aim and would have his selected weapon in his Right Hand and his next weapon in his Left, going off of PC controls, Mouse 1 would fire the Right Weapon while Mouse 2 would fire the Left. When in Berzerker Mode he would give him increased movement speed and health regen while just having his fists out, unless he has a Augment that allows him to use One Gun, Mouse 1 would be either to swing his Right Hand or to fire his Gun, while Mouse 2 would be to swing his Left Hand. If he Melees in Berzerk Mode, he would be able to either charge forward or launch into the Air to crash down. I came up with this idea after realizing how much I love the Goliath's voice lines from BL2 and how cool It would be to both Gunzerk and Berzerk.

Personally I would want to play as Typhon DeLeon on his adventures

I'd love to see The old guy general Knoxx as a VH, but without his mech suit this time. Like, let's say the first cast destroyed his mech suit and went to go blow up the armory, on their way out before the charges go off the general calls to them for help in his broken down mech suit and asks to join them in whatever fights they are a part of, Roland accepts as he is well aware of Knoxx's usefulness as a soldier and that Knoxx doesn't BS like everyone else around him does. They all leave together and Knoxx is a VH now, basically being a tanky leader class who buffs the team with kill skills, and he carries around one of the arm cannons from his mech suit he salvaged as his action skill

I want another character like Timothy to be playable Someone who is totally out of their depth and shit scared who just wants to go home

For knoxx could be one of his kids or grandkids and wanted to find out happened or help the crimson raiders....

Bounty of Blood was so good to me for alot of reasons but the serious tone was definitely a welcome change

I know most people will probably want more new characters for border lands 3, and I mean so do I, but I would love it if we could get updated versions of EVERY remaining vault hunter. I think it would be so awesome and fun to play Zer0 while your friend plays brick and your annoying brother plays claptrap. It probably won't work due to how many vault hunters there are but that's my pipe dream.

i for one would like a custom vault hunter, like one we can choose to make ourselfs. like in the creation menu, we can choose how we look what we wear ect

Also I though of Ideas for Possible future Vault hunter base on names and what they could do. My Idea is someone with the Title "Electromancer" Using advance Tech to control Tesla Spikes they could set Traps, make an electric shield to block some attacks, and just strait launch them into bandits for electric damage. Skill Tree can be set up to have Defence and Protective Skills, one for Electric Boosting and Gun Skills, and one for Kill Skills and mastery of more Tesla Spikes. So a more powerful upgrade hunter could Reflect and tank more with well place shields and fire back through add electric damage to normal bullets, have critical damage on player being zapped well able to have enemies act as electric barrels to your enemies, and set up multiple traps for enemies to walk into well you speed and gun damage gets boost. Character Ideas, maybe make a list of cool character types for future borderlands games.

This idea for a Vault Hunter would be more for fun than anything else, Ratchet the Lombax from the PlayStation franchise Ratchet and Clank. The RAC games love advertising "So many cool and unique weapons to blast the bad guys with!" And also like having just as many "Fun and quirky" moments and characters and all that. Plenty of cheesy one-liners. Granted the franchise is more kid friendly than Borderlands, but in context I think it'd at least be a bit believable for him to be there too, since he's an intergalactic space super hero of the future and all.

Tyreen would be Awesome as a playable character, imagine sucking the power of a random creature and use that power for a period of time,That would be an awesome action skill. I think it would be better if she was a vault hunter instead of a trash villain.

He may not seem the type in bl3 but after the war with Maliwan and figuring himself out maybe he'd think "hey shooting those Maliwan cunts was kinda fun" and join up with the raiders. Late to the party but i would like to say that maybe a Vault Hunter could be the mysterious "1" from the Sir Hammerlock vs. the Son of Crawmerax DLC from Borderlands 2, at the final part of a mission (i dont remember the name) in the DLC all characters receive a note from someone they knew saying something about the past before pandora but "0" only receives a note that says "1" teasing that whatever 0 is someone like him or diferent is hunting him, and could turn into an ally vault hunter, i mean; to hunt a vault hunter, you must become one.

You know, I'm kind of interested in the idea of getting to play as basically the next host of the phase leech powers, that Tyreen had in Borderlands 3. Could be interesting as both from the idea of essentially playing a vampiric style badass, and probably also lead to some interesting character moments, considering the last host of those powers was... Well, Tyreen.

Im curious if Commandant Steele-Trap is actually dead. No one ever knew her actual power, and nothing comes back to it. Also, it would be awesome if the siren power from the Calypso's went to Rose. Making her an unstoppable force that the VHs try to convince to join their big battle.

I like Ava, Rose. Capt. Scarlet. And Tina as options. I was thinking, Mr. Tongue's bastard child (explosion skill tree based). Marcus's son (capitalism and weapons based skilltrees), a loaderbot with sentient AI (SKILL TREES spec it towards different type bots). Dr. Red, which is just a costumed Dr. Zed with crappy medical skills based skilltrees. Last, we had Kreig as a Psycho, what about another bandit class being represented? Maybe just a reformed bandit and their skill trees spec them into different types of bandits.

I'm kind of surprised no one mentioned Ellie; scooter's sister. I think a skill tree revolving around her love of machines would be amazing, as well as having some pretty decent dialogue for being a vault hunter

Imagine a new DLC for BL1 where it takes place in that long as hell winter before the first game Or a DLC in BL3 that's like- either taking place in the past or a story of the past. I'd personally like to see a team of: Marcus, TK Baha before his injuries, Moxxi, and possibly young Jack before he had doppelgangers? I can only imagine this as a dlc, as a whole game may be either convoluted or lore breaking. Main idea is Jack hires 3 locals to help him settup the first Hyperion Outpost on Pandora, asking Moxxi to assemble the crew. Marcus since he's an arms dealer, TK Baha since we know that they had some kind of past(His zombie dialog in BL2 has him asking if Moxxi mentioned him) Or Zed to take Baha's place

I think valentine from wonderlands would be really fun to have, he seems like such a fun character to play as
