Isa ako sa nag a-idolized sa mga WKC DJs...pero natatapat lagi ako sa 3DJs...Bobby Ante, Hillbilly Willy...sa New Wave era ...nakaka miss talaga nung 80s, part sila nung HS memories ko....❤️❤️❤️

I was one of those thousands fans...and I really did my best to write letters to my Idol Hill Billy Willy and oh my I did received a reply from him with his pic and and signed name...and looking back I can't believe my self I did visited my idol Hillbilly Willy in the station of 93.9 WKC . It was in mid 90s and I am 22 I would wake up so early in the morning to ride the "1st trip" of the jeep from Laguna so I could come while he is still ON Air and see him in person. And yes! I did saw my Idol 🤩 and he was the nicest, kindest and very accommodating Dj ...well I met other DJ's of WKC they're all nice they accept you like family at the booth... 93.9 WKC was part of my teenage years and I was so happy Everytime I listen to WKC my radio is so loud already while it's only 5AM.

I remember one of the DJs putting on air without telling me, he asked about my experience during 1990 earthquake. Sadly I can't remember the name of the Dj. Nostalgic listening to this, thank you!

Here's the lowdown on the voices of the early years of ABC5. When we re-opened in 1991, it was George. By 1994, Arvi Villamarzo. Michael Borricano (Knight) came in later in the decade and stayed as the station's voice into it's repackaging as TV5 and even when Martin Andanar and Gerry Magnaye were also heard in the station promos.

I was born in the 80s and spent my growing up years in the 90s listening to DWKC :) I miss every DJs and segments. I miss Pong Pagong, SeaHorse, Count, HillBilly Willy, SuperMitch, Rudolph, Vilma and everyone else. I even won two tickets (The next best thing of Madonna) from a contest when Chico and Delamar transferred to DWKC

RIP Mike Enriquez (Baby Michael)

I spent a big chunk of 1987 listening to dwkc. I phoned in requests and jokes from time to time and felt kilig when they played my requests and featured my joke :-) Brings so much memories. I requested Sara and Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now by Starship and It's Over Now by Joey Albert :-)

Glad to see this DWKC DJ's a Radio Station in my teenage years in the 90's. I remember Mike Enriquez better known as Baby Michael. I was just 11 years old kid now i'm 42 now.

listening to this station was part of my elementary and highschool life...lalo na kapag umaga... lahat ng nauusong kanta noon,nasasabayan ko, those were the days na wl pa mga spotify at podcast, Tlgang fm radio lng amg source mu pr makinig ng music , bukod xempre sa casette tapes at cd nuon, salamat sa reuinion na to... nakaka nostalgic!

Avid listener ako ng DWBL am 1242 khz during the mid & 'till late 70's . At avid fan po ako ng mga DJ's sa station na 'to , katulad po nina Baby Michael - Hillbilly Willy - Happy Louie - Rudolph Rivera - Bobby Ante , forgot the others . Pagdating sa bahay from skul (high skul days) yung AVEGON transistor radio bubuksan ko agad sa DWBL . Love to reminisce those good memories esp the songs they played

We also had jun santiago for our dzbm reunion episodes. He was dwbl's morning jockey in the mid-seventies. Oh, there was also Butch Gonzales who also doubled as the "voice" of dwll-fm. the original mellow touch.

@@bugvids 94.7 DWLL 'the mellow touch' . Nung maluwas nko sa Manila at nag-work after high skul , Sa FM station ito naman ang naging fav station ko . Gustung -gustu kong naririnig yung 'the music is right & its natural' (nalimutan ko ma yung karugtong hahaha) . At nung marinig ko si Hillbilly Willy sa KC 93.9 naging listener din ako dto .

So nice to see the disc jokers of 93.9 WKC! The station that I grew up with. Too bad the station has to be rebranded and it’s never been the same. Listener ako ni The Count ng graveyard shift. Lagi ko ding inaabangan ang Araw ng Kalayaan, Araw ng Kalokohan day every independence day. I think don nagsimula si Vilma Saya at Swardong Futik. DWKC at DWSM plays the best 80s pop noon!

I remember Baby Michael/Mike Enriquez was the voice over on Dr. Buddy Bryan MD's DWKC Show. "Kasalanan ang Buhayin Siya!" I was laughing at Baby Michael's intro.

To my knowledge, Bryan is in Canada. He was supposed to join us for the WKC session but he had a prior commitment.

I remember during the 80's ang magkatunggali sa FM station nun , playing 'easy listening music' ay ang 90.7 BM love radio & 94.7 WLL Mellow Touch

at the time we were also keeping an eye (ear) on another predominantly mellow station 92.3 DWFM (MRS before there were live dj's). Actually pati 94.7 and 90.7 wala ring live dj's back then.

i remember DJ DUMDUM, THE COUNT AND SEAHORSE. and also yung random countdown, pati yung contest na pinahulaan ang singer ng "SIGURO AY IKAW NA NGA" i was one of the hopefuls na makahula unfortunately di ako makapasok sa line. anyways mali din naman hula ko... si WILLIE NEP pala ang singer nun akalain mo.

last i know, si count (rey consolacion, i think) is with wish. andrew, who is in this episode and the dwls reunion still does voice overs and is usually at his farm in zambales. dumbdumb, i have no clue as to his whereabouts. thanks for asking.
