BOOKSTORE VLOG || Powell's Shopping on a Cozy Rainy Night

Hello, Friends!
*If you can, please support your local bookstores during this time! My two favorites (Powell's and Annie Blooms) are in danger of having to shut down permanently because of the extreme loss of business.*
Annie Blooms Website: www.annieblooms.com
Powell's Website: www.powells.com
Don't you just immediately feel at home in a bookstore? No matter where you are in the world, in a bookstore you can surround yourself with your most favorite and familiar characters, melting boundaries of time and space ✨ Landon and I spent our rainy Saturday night in THE LARGEST Independent Bookstore in the United States-- Powell's City of Books. This is my happy place in Portland; I could easily spend multiple consecutive days exploring the never-ending maze of books.
I'm currently shopping for and planning my 2020 Reading list-- please feel free to share your favorite books with me!
I'm so very happy you're here. Thank you for watching :)
Hugs,
Morgan

if you ever want to go see a gorgeous book shop (not quite as big but equally as beautiful) you should check out barter books in alnwick if you've never been. it's a used book shop that's a lot smaller than this one but so cosy and so beautiful. i spent hours in there when i went, and it has a small cafe too. i think it used to be a railway station or something.

My lovely English teacher used to take my class on field trips to Portland, which is 2 hours away from where I live. We used to see plays at the Artists Repertory and Portland Center Stage, and when we saw a play at AR, we would wander around the Pearl District and everyone always defaulted to Powell's. It was always so beautiful. Watching this brings back so many memories, and I wish to go there again once it is safer. I love it so much, I always found so many amazing things, I always had fun with friends, and this video really reminded me to cherish the memories I have.

Easily the best bookstore I've ever visited. The Strand in NYC is great, too, but it feels cramped and congested at times because of the large crowds and comparatively limited space. Powell's is *MASSIVE* and it's very easy (and fun) to get lost in there. It's one of several mandatory stops for me whenever I visit the beautiful city of Portland.

There's no bad time to visit Powell's, but it does seem extra perfect to visit on a rainy night. And, omg, how did I NOT know there was a journal section!?!

A friend brought back a Powell's bookmark from when she visited for a writing convention. I use it in all my reading now, even though I've never been. Someday I'll make it there and spend the whole day just wandering amongst books. (Also, I just found your channel and have already watched several videos back to back to back to back...not only is your cinematography beautiful, but so is the tone, your puppy, and your reading montages...basically I love it all).

I'm excited for the day you get to spend the day at Powells 📚✨ Thank you sooo very much for being here and taking the time to watch and comment on my videos-- I'm so glad you appreciate the many different pieces that make up my videos, it's the best compliment! (and special thanks from Roo 🐾)

When you went to grab a tea inside of the store, it reminded me of something. 5mins into the video and i've got it! It reminds me of Fox Books from the movie "you've got mail". I've always wanted to go there and this looks to be the closest thing to it! Super cozy video
