Imagine sitting across from a murderer, you ask them why they did it & the answer makes you question the nature of morality. Are morals absolute? Or can they be bent for the greater good? I explore the story of Raskolnikov, a destitute ex-law student, who commits a murder, gets away with it, but only to grapple with his guilt and conscience. Dostoevsky challenges us to reconsider if we can create our own values. Join me as I tackle some of these timeless questions and draw parallels to modern political polarization and the moral dilemmas we face today. Don't miss it!

Just finished the book and yes, Nietzsche's God is dead thesis is confronted head-on. Fortunately, Raskolnikov appears to realize this at the end, when his love for Sonya opens his eyes and points him to the New Testament and, by implication, faith in God. Thanks for the video and your insight. Now absorbed in Tolstoy's A Confession and Other Religious Writings....
