Lin Carter was a man, not a woman. I haven’t read anything by him myself, but from what I’ve heard he was a better editor than he was a writer. Among other things, he edited the “Adult Fantasy” line of books from Ballantine in the late 60s/early 70s. I think there were a couple from that line in this haul, actually.
