Sure, we all wanted more boogie. But more woogie, too? That's a real bonus.

Hello from a fellow Scot. Love your Boogie Woogie posts. My father was a semi-professional pianist in the 1960s. He had a daytime desk job, but in the evening he would don a dinner jacket and bow tie and play with various dance bands in the Edinburgh area, sometimes venturing as far south as Peebles! (my mother's home town). I grew up listening to his collection of boogie woogie records. Albert Ammons, Pete Johnson and Meade Lux Lewis mainly, but also jazz records of the likes of Oscar Peterson and the unbelievable Art Tatum. Please keep up the good work.

14:45 Practice! This reminds me of the old joke "How do I get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, practice, practice!" I actually had a chance to use that a few years ago. I was walking east on 57th street in NYC, and a woman and her daughter pulled over and asked me "How do I get to Carnegie Hall, because my daughter has a recital?" I grinned and said practice, practice, practice! The daughter didn't get it but mom gave me a courtesy grin and a look that said I've been driving through the city and am not from here, so please just get me there. Luckily for her, they were just half a block away. I pointed it out, and also gave her directions to a parking ramp. For just a brief moment, I felt like Henny Youngman.

Wow. I like boogie woogie, always have, I am 83, live in Tennessee., and speak a little German. I can understand your German very well. I told my wife you speak my kind of german. Then I discovered your English Boogie video and was amazed at your English. I enjoy your videos.

Hi! Could you talk a bit about playing ‘wrong’ notes deliberately? I’ve noticed it in some people’s playing and have never been quite sure of how to make it sound good. In a similar area, what about how you cover up mistakes when improvising? Thanks!

To bad I can't give you more than one thumbs up, love the boogie and love these presentations. I missed seeing the dog in this one but perhaps he had something to eat and a nap while you were playing. I very much enjoy George Winston playing Vince Guraldi's Linus and Lucy. There seems to be a bit of boogie in the pieces.

Fraser, I love these videos. Had you been in London, I would have offered to come fix your notes on the piano. Being a piano technician, I hate pianos not working right. I've never been able to play boogie woogie correctly, after watching these I might be able play it a bit. Thank you for doing these 😀

Maybe a scroll saw? "The fretsaw is similar in many respects to the scroll saw, which is essentially a powered fretsaw with a table."
