Before we head back out to the track, we take a little time to do a full walk-around of Dewey's 1996 Impreza L time attack build. Starting from humble roots, this car embodies grassroots motorsports and what can be done with enough bad ideas (and a little money).

1050 on a 2.3L is such a bad combo. Huge comp wheel small turbine wheel that doesn’t like rpm. Destroker that wants rpm. Put a Xona rotor on it and watch it make gains everywhere.
Are they regular old ej257 pistons or do they need to be specially setup for +2mm rods?

Since it's running a 2.0 crank you need to run the +2 rod to make it work.

@@patonbike Since the crank is shorter you would just use a standard piston essentially. We might look into a +4 rod configuration alter that would need a custom piston also.
The GC8 platform is my favorite! I wish I still had my 2001 2.5RS that I bought brand new from Subaru.

We are currently running a GSC S3 but we are VERY torn between that and an S2 as to what makes more sense.
