What a lovely guy Bono is - calm and gracious to his fans. Wonder what his sons make of it all - having such a famous father.

I just now saw this video for the 1st time today. I have faithfully been a fan of Bono and U2 ever since I first heard there music 🎶 when I was just a young girl at the age of 11yrs old. Honestly U2’s music and there strong powerful lyrics forever changed my soul. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m Irish ☘️ and maybe that’s why U2’s music made such an impression on me? Or maybe because it was the 1st time I ever heard fighting Irish Rebel music? Idk? But what ever U2 music did to me it has definitely has made me a loyal fan to them FOREVER!! And I’m in my 40’s now and still love them just as much as I did the 1st time my friend played their record. But I love everything about these guys. And seeing this video makes me feel so ANXIOUS for Bono’s safety in large crowds like this? Idk? Just makes me think of John Lennon who sang songs for justice and freedom for all of us. And he was shot and killed near his hotel signing autographs too. 🤦‍♀️ ugh just makes me sooo scared for Bono. Because people might not see him for a freedom fighter and a lover of all people and all nations and nationalities. Which he is. Bono is truly a caring person and is an amazing song writer. Bono and the band produce music that they are passionate about. They have all always been this way. There’s even a video of Bono fighting for people’s rights at the age of 16 years old. They are not fake and don’t abuse there power. Anyway yeah this video made me nervous for him. Thanks for sharing❤️

U2 i’ve been my favorite band since 1983 and they still are but it bothers me that all these people are hounding Bono when all he wants do is have a normal life and go places without being hounded. Same goes for edge and the rest of the band. They may be rockstars but they also deserve their privacy. Reminds me of what princess Diana had to go through.

First time I've seen The Edge without a hat in years but why was he acting as security?

@@golfman6122yes obviously, but he's been at it for 40 years... he'd be forgiven for just going to the car through a private exit. People don't need to be bugging him for an autograph every time he leaves or enters a building. It's kind of amazing his kids turned out normal; but only 2 seem to be somewhat in his footsteps, and his talented actress daughter (Eve) did it without the name recognition; and seems to have made a pretty steady/stable path of her own.

Back in the early 80's, U2 were the next big thing. And they delivered with the Unforgettable Fire and Joshua Tree albums. Unfortunately Bono is the biggest hypocrite in music. Bangs on about Africa as a selfinvented Demi God. Yet pays no tax on his music earnings. Typically people are ignorant to what is other people's real agenda. Must walk around thinking he's the Pope or something.

@@jaseybaby3360 registered the band in Holland, along with multi national corporations. EU harbours tax evasion or avoidance, which ever way its the same to me. Also Elevation partners in the USA. With other investors, they invested in Beats headphones by Dr Dre. Jimmy lovine who Co produced early U2 albums also invested in Beats. Beats bought by Apple In multi billion dollar deal. Also invested in Twitter. Was watching a programme on Tax evasion about 18 years ago, when this was aired. He ain't a billionaire by default. Problem with people is they worship or idolise people for reasons that they don't understand. ATB.

Bono chose to invest in a company based in ultra-low tax Malta, which incorporated a Lithuanian company - in order to buy a shopping centre - which has paid no tax in Lithuania despite having made profits. The company was later transferred to zero-tax (on company profits) Guernsey. To be fair to Bono, he is not creating artificial structures in order to avoid paying tax on his income (the kind of practice adopted by some of the stars of Mrs Brown’s Boys). However, by making this investment, he supported ultra-low tax jurisdictions and elaborate structures for cheating tax. And it is these things which are so harmful, not only to ordinary people in developed countries but also to the developing world.

People are all just the same in my eyes, and no amount of propaganda or purring in front of the camera is going to change my mind. The poor would be better off, if the rich paid some tax. But Apple has never paid a penny corporation tax in its history. People need to stop buying their products, then they will realise not to treat tax havens as channelling their sales. Amazon, Starbucks, McDonald's, Netflix, etc etc etc. Screw them all. And the Panama papers would have exposed the media companies as well.

Gavin Friday way more interesting than Bonio.......

AAll for the most overrated band and overrated frontman in the world.
