Bonnie Raitt - never been in it for fame and fortune, it's always been about the music. What a sublime performance.

You need to be at her concert she very pretty woman
If John Prine didn't _invent_ writing from another's point of view, he damn near perfected it!

I wasn't expecting to be floored by this, but I was. She sounded better than ever. Amazing.
Her voice has aged so well. I love this performance.
Almost 70 years old, and she's still got it. - She is such a fantastic and unusual artist :)

I was about 70 when I started playing this masterpiece of "Life in A Marriage". It's such a hard way to GOooo.....
Ageless... she is still beautiful and her voice is unbelievable. Hasn’t changed in 45 years. Plus, singing this gorgeous song from my favorite songwriter and performer, John Prine...just beautiful.
she was almost in tears , I think this performance was for her friend who passed...could be wrong but she seemed really moved, loved it
The John Prime duet version of this song with Bonnie is one the most beautiful songs ever.

Like fine wine
i cannot. get over the brilliance. of this performance. (after 40 effing years of singing this song. sweet jesus!) thank you, bonnie.
Beautiful. Shivers. Tears. Thanks for bringing it home, Bonnie.
She's as beautiful and soulful as the first time I heard this powerful song in the '70s. Long live Bonnie, she's a force of nature.
She still has it, and probably always will.
Love me some Bonnie Raitt. “ I Can’t Make You Love Me” one of my favorite amongst others.

Awesome, Bonnie Raitt. Listened to her in the 60's before many knew her.
Great song written by John Prine. Bonnie's version has for many years been my favorite.
Wow. Lotsa memories flooded back with that one. Classy move, to perform a song with deep history that she can still sing perfectly, instead of plugging something new. Thanks, Bonnie.
One of those songs you never forget the lyrics to. Such depth of meaning.
I remember hearing Bonnie back in the early 70's while still with Freebo...the two played at our student union before many had ever heard of her. I still get chills listening to her.
Thank you so much for posting this wonderful performance! To this day, her warm, soulful voice still gives me chills. When I was growing up, I would listen to her rendition of "Angel From Montgomery" over and over and try to sing just like her. She was one of my biggest idols back then, and she still is. All aspiring female pop/rock singers need to watch Bonnie Raitt and take note! Also, on a side note, she looks phenomenal! Can't believe she's almost 70!!
She’s just incredible, awesome. What talent and soul.
Beautiful song I’m glade Bonnie’s around sounding soulful as ever
I saw her sing this last night. Tears were shed.

My favorite John Prine song ever, and Bonnie sings it best! 🙏🎶
Amazing how good she sounds after all these years - brilliant performance!
Wow!!!! She still has it...
First song I ever learned on guitar...... a John Prine gift done by gifted musicians like Bonnie.... I think John Denver also did this. Bonnie's contributions to music go beyond her own performances; she's discovered some of the most amazing talent out there.
What a master of her craft. Unbelievable performance, and on a talk show no less!
I love when she sings this song! She is timeless and amazing!!
Have always loved Bonnie...Always will!!!!
Thank you John Prine.

My hope is that those listening to Bonnie Raitt and others perform John Prine's songs will make an effort to hear the originals. 'Sam Stone, 'Hello in There', etc. were so singular in their perspective, and as fresh today as they were 48 years ago.

Mr.John Prine
I saw her as a teenager with SRV at the Moore Theater in Seattle. They spent as much time on stage together as not. It was a wonderful show, and a feather in my cap that I have carried with me forever. To go back as see it again, to refresh that memory... If only.

I love this song ….. and I love Bonnie Raitt … so excited to see her in New York in June ….like Loretta’s Lynn I consider Bonnie an American Legend
Better than ever!
Always and forever a fan of her music. Saw her in Denver in the 70s. Her music has carried me thru painful times. Blessings be sister
It has been months, I have not beeb able to listen to this since John passed away. Too hard without him.
I had the extraordinary good fortune to see Bonnie AND John Prine in an outdoor venue one gorgeous summer night... does it get ANY BETTER THAN THAT???
Spine-tingling, authentic and brilliant!
I so love this lady! So it gives me hope at 63, that I still have so much left to do in this world until my last breath! Thank you!
Still amazing!
Perfection.
Bonnie's voice was made to sing this song. I don't believe anyone else's when they cover it.
Oh, man. Glad I found this tonight and so glad I saw it. Bonnie is just one of the best. I had the privilege of seeing her at The House of Blues in Las Vegas, probably about 2007-8. What an amazing show and she was onstage for the better part of 2 hours. Thanks Bonnie for being such a great artist!
I love this song from her. I am not a Country fan by any means, but this song is great!!

Possibly the most beautiful song by John Prine ever, and one of my favorite songs of all time 🙏🎶
still mesmerizes all these years in, Bonnie Raitt continues to shine, really never one to be trendy or over the top, she keeps it real, but she excels in finding these perfect tunes and taking them to another level. Bonnie, closing in on 70 but she's modeled her career after the greats that passed the torch and hopefully like her dad, the great broadway voice for decades, John Raitt, will weather the flavor of the months and continue making her music for many more years. Whether it be the blues, R & B, country blues, folk, funk & soul or rocking out, a national treasure for sure, a road warrior till her end she evolves and always delivers such vintage performances like this John Prine gem "Angel from Montgomery"

Probably assholes who think SoundCloud rap is ‘music’
Even better than her splendid 70s version of this song. Thank you mrsRaitt and mrPrine for this gift.
Colbert has such crazy thoughts about this Country but even so still love Bonnie Rait. Sometimes though I wish these artists would go on shows like Colbert’s.
When my dad died suddenly a few months ago we had very little time to plan and my best friend played this St the funeral. I know dad would loved it as this was always one of his favorite songs. Listening now and thinking of him
Totally love Bonnie. 💗
This us the one performance i do click on this show and i'm glad i did.
I first saw our Bonnie when she was on tour with Bob Dylan. She stole the show. She is great.
Her voice sure is beating the odds of age. And that's a big blessing.
Man, would love to meet her. I have so many Bonnie stories. Been following her since I was 16 - for a very long time!!!
Love you Bonnie💐
She is more beautiful here than in the performance I saw of this song long ago, when she was young. Goddamn, that is a beautiful woman. Her soul makes me breathe right.
I discovered Bonnie Raitt thrkugh "Keep this Heart & River of tears.the first two cuts on Green light.when i drove home exausted from work& band rehearsal she kept me on the road.i played that CD to death. Thanks Bonni.even wrote a song that.come to think of it reminds me of her.but THANKS BONNIE
Bravo Bonnie! Take care.
Still one of the best.
Like Dolly, Bonnie is a national treasure.
Great song, she's still got it, kinda miss the slide but I'm sure it's still there.
Classic. Great song
A voice from my childhood, forever reminding me of home.
Hearing her voice singing this song echoing through the box canyon in Telluride is probably my favorite memory of all time.
Love You Bonnie. Keep on Keepin' on...
She is awesome and always has been. How can anyone give this a thumbs down? Maybe not your cup of tea but you go through the trouble to disrespect the song and the performers? Go get a life and have ‘em throw in some hearing, too.
Here after her Grammy win. She is amazing
What a voice! What a musician! A national treasure indeed! (Of course, it's a rather great tune as well!)
Seen Bonnie 3 or 4 times. A pro's pro. RIP John.
Damn, that voice.
Gorgeous woman, voice and song. 😻❤️😻
OMG! I have to wipe my tears!
Love this Bonnie rait/ John prine classic. Think this might be my favorite version. Her voice is like really good scotch, absolutely love the faint raspy notes. In her youth the song was sang was beautifully but, now it just feels "real"
Legend
The one I've been looking at was made in 1974. Hard to believe it was 50 years ago she sang this at Wonderland. We ALL get older. (If you're lucky)
Brilliant as ever hope you come back to the uk soon
