I heard this in the Former USSR (Kyrgyzia) around 1994, and I loved it too! I believe Boney M sang this song in Moscow Square sometime in the 90-s.

Когда я первый раз услышал Boney М, я пережил психологический шок! Это совершенно не было похоже на то, что я слышал до этого. Просто не ожидал и не предполагал, что где-то существует такая красивая и качественная музыка! Море мелодии, такое жирное звучание, причём ни одной лишней нотки - свё вмеру и со вкусом! Эти прекрасные голоса необычайно красивой тембральной окраски льются легко и свободно, без малейшего намёка на какие-то физические усилия певиц. Создаётся иллюзия, что эти голоса заполняют все небеса! Хотелось бы побольше барабанов, но нет - это только испортило бы весь деликатес. Та парочка барабанных сбивок в середине песни на грани незаметности, но такие вкусные и разят прямо в сердце! Именно они - эти несколько ударов по барабанах, выдают в барабанщике высочайшего мастера, обладающего хорошим музыкальным вкусом, то есть чувством меры. Спасибо группе за мгновения счастья, доставленные миллионам людей!

Просто,Класс!!! Это часть нашего детства, счастливого, красивого, романтичного, посиделки во дворе, дискотеки. Счастье . привет всем рожденным в СССР.

А ведь это грустная песня. И она исчо ждьот сваево исполнителя. Аффтор в молодом возрасте потерял старшэва брата, который заботился о ньом с детства заместо отца. И пребывая в дэпрессии написал эту песню. Фсьо в ней наполнено аллюзиями на эту потерю. И мелодия угадана точно - крики напускной весьолости на грани срыва в попытке заглушыть боль. К сожалению, аффтор несмог исполнить свой шэдэвр - так бывает. Пачти полностью неугадал с аранжыровкой, с интонацыями, ведь не фсьо жэ в человеческих силах? Дажэ если есть жэлание. Хоть сингл и стал хитом исчо в 1966г. Ну а немецкому оранжыровщику и четырьом поющим обезьянам недоступны были аллюзии на чужом языке. Они фпрыснули в сингл лошадиную дозу оптимизьма, искренне склабяцца, хотя текст нерасполагает к тому. Ну шо с них фзять? - жывотные. Пока писал этот текст, успел снова фсплакнуть, как и кaждый раз, когда слышу этот шэдэвр.

The early to mid 1970s fashion was strongly influenced by 1920s deco style .. Which seems to be fashionable again atm (the 1970s version of the 1920s 🥰😜❤️🤣💪💪)

Having recently discovered this song it reminds me how in the midst of so much disappointment occasionally you come across new music that changes your life, this is one of those moments.

А ведь это грустная песня. И она исчо ждьот сваево исполнителя. Аффтор в молодом возрасте потерял старшэва брата, который заботился о ньом с детства заместо отца. И пребывая в дэпрессии написал эту песню. Фсьо в ней наполнено аллюзиями на эту потерю. И мелодия угадана точно - крики напускной весьолости на грани срыва в попытке заглушыть боль. К сожалению, аффтор несмог исполнить свой шэдэвр - так бывает. Пачти полностью неугадал с аранжыровкой, с интонацыями, ведь не фсьо жэ в человеческих силах? Дажэ если есть жэлание. Хоть сингл и стал хитом исчо в 1966г. Ну а немецкому оранжыровщику и четырьом поющим обезьянам недоступны были аллюзии на чужом языке. Они фпрыснули в сингл лошадиную дозу оптимизьма, искренне склабяцца, хотя текст нерасполагает к тому. Ну шо с них фзять? - жывотные. Пока писал этот текст, успел снова фсплакнуть, как и кaждый раз, когда слышу этот шэдэвр.

В 1980-м приезжали в Москву. Уж и не знаю, кто это в политбюро расщедрился ? В те времена эта музыка ещё считалось ,,тлетворным влиянием Запада". У нас на Алтае была глубокая ночь. В те времена телевизоры после полуночи ,,спали" глубоким сном. А тут такой праздник !!! ,,Съел" на одном дыхании.. Браво !!! До сих пор слушаю с большим удовольствием.

Really?!?!?! This is a great song and all, but let's be for real... they are not "stunningly beautiful" women. They are average at best.
