I think tests like this should be done on every kayak made! While we certainly don't intend on flipping them, it does happen and knowing how easy one is to flip over another would certainly steer me away from buying any easily flippable model.
Hey my friend ,Another great video ! Real world testing right there and to have the seat come off was classic ,that is the kind of stuff that is not planned but REAL LIFE ! ( did the seat float or was the water shallow ? ) Thanks for making this video and showing how to flip a kayak back over I am sure a lot of people do not know how to do this correctly . One thing I notice about my SS127 and I see it here in this video as well is it doesn't take much for water to come up through the scupper holes. I am 220 pounds and the act of standing up from the sitting position will make a solid bit of water come up. No issues in the summer, but winter fishing that could be annoying.
hey brother that wetsuit was on backwards... those are a back zip up thats why the lanyard is so long.
Everyone should take their kayaks out and try a reentry. Great demo.
