This time it's a take at another 80s anthem - "Livin On A Prayer" by Bon Jovi. There's a shorter time between videos this time as I had a bit of a shortcut - namely, being able to pull the melody and bassline from a published book to use as a starting point.
That version left out most of the intro, the variations between verses, and other parts of the song. So, I was able to save time trying to pick out how much the bass is moving around the whole song (though I did check what I started with against the original song), but also added my own touch on top of all of it while filling out the song to be like the album version. I used a similar process for the FF9 and Chrono Cross videos, actually.
Trying to work out an ending for this song was an...interesting process. That final loop is pulling from previous lyrics to mix into the refrain as a bit of a final 'jam' before the ending. Can you tell where in the song it's from? Hope you liked jamming out with the loops at the end though!
With how much I added though...I guess you could call this the "challenge" version of an arrangement of the song with how quick some of these parts (and how much of a stretch) some of these parts ended up being?
Oh, and for those wondering about those strings of high notes at the start of the song...that's representing the wind chimes you hear in the album version. Normally you don't hear the first wind chime (the high notes my version starts with) unless you've boosted the audio of the fade in with how the song starts. You can hear a snippet of it if you turn up your volume REAAALLY high, but it's easier just to bring the song into Audacity (or something like it) and amplify the sound wave there. The 2nd (lower) run of notes at the start is the wind chime you'd normally hear in the album version.
