I recently met him in Portland right before a NE show. Very nice guy. The new NE stuff sounds great - can't wait!

Saw NE support depeche at The o2 in 2009 on the sounds of the universe tour… walked into the arena with the sound of Down on your Knees blaring out with DM wearing his customary aviators and Bon on his seat with his electronic drums. Cool. They were better than depeche that night.

When I hear that SH-101 sound, my immediate reaction is: FRONT 242 !!!! :D

+DreamWizard9 Weird. 242 in their most popular era used almost all DX7 bass (Headhunter et al). Whereas Ebb used SH-101 all over That Total Age (Along with some FM synthesis mixed in here and there). Then they switched to mostly Oberheim Xpander on the Belief album.

ooooooh, made the lead sound so nice in the new track, added that element it was needing. sidechain compressor works nice for bass, but this is it for everything else!

I'm so relieved to hear the clip of this new song...after hearing Payroll, I was disappointed in their boring drums...this sounds more like I had hoped their new material would sound, a mixture of Belief and That Total Age. EBM KINGS RETURN
