ReasonStudios made a newer mono synthesizer called Monotone which sounds like a Moog but Subtractor can do all the same sounds and more.

Europa and Grain are my fav.

Absolutely. I love seeing how other creatives create and the processes they prefer.

The snappy filter envelope is due to you leaving the F. Env setting on in the velocity section. It's somewhat of a strange default in Subtractor. I used to always turn that off after initializing the device, but now I leave it on because I dig the sound.

Yes it is! They have so many dope devices.

The subtractor is Propellerheads first synth for Reason. No way it's the best. It's ok, but more outdated. Propellerheads created much better synths since then, like Europa. Europa is a beast and very user friendly.

I agree Seldom. Subtractor is dope regardless. Date means nothing when your making dope patches and I get lost using Subtractor.

@@ProdByThatGuyFace Put it in a Combinator 2 and make a new bigger user friendly custom face for it.

I love Subtractor use it for everything, I use Reason standalone it's friggen awesome, do you even use the CV on the back of Subtractor? :p

Haha nice! I haven't used Reason in so long I didn't touch the back of the synth. Whats a good tip for using the CV functionality?

@@ProdByThatGuyFace to begin with try sending CV outputs to CV inputs just on the device itself, they are all labelled so will make sense. Once you dive into this world you will see you can manipulate the crap out of that CV signal, Reason is a CV powerhouse, you can have a modular jam just with subtractor, then you can take a look and see how far the CV system in Reason really goes. Look at the Pulsar device. I use CV in Reason and convert it to real world CV with Expert sleepers ES-8 module then I control my modular synth with Reason, it's unbelievably cool.

@@ProdByThatGuyFace You can use your LFO or envelopes in CV output to control other parameters or even link to other synths, like using Subtractor's LFO to control other's synth's filter.

There isnt one. Reason lite 11 comes up for sale on Ebay alot for $15.
