I really enjoyed this. I agree great to play whilst painting up a new army. Would be good if each model can gain experience and pick new skills etc....or new equipment salvaged after game. It would be good to do a more personal experience of the second world war in a campaign. Also injuries after battle not always instant death etc...

I think this is more for a quicker game and for those who don't have a larger army budget. I am sure Warlord will be cleaning up the rules and I think I would prefer this over large scale battles.

I like a smaller size game as well. One with less miniatures i favor more. Would be awesome if they release official rules for this game.

Interesting. The small target -1 seems to make it a little silly with shooting. Fishing for 6s is bad enough, so many shots needed a double 6. I would consider dropping it.

The game when we played it was in the development stage. Not sure if they have released a completed version yet. Would be good to check and see if it was finalized and compare it to this version. Thanks for the comment.

27:30 Even though the model is technically in the open doorway... I'd give him hard cover for being inside the building. It's really supposed to be a dynamic model, so imagine he is hiding just around the corner and leaning to fire out. We also do this for a guy at the outside corner of a building. But it's your game, and you can play it as you see it... I've tried these skirmish rules, and I do not like them. I do like to play regular Bolt Action with a small army, about 500 points is good for me.

31:30 The assault rules are very vague. I think you probably should resolve each of your dice one at a time, before moving to the next die. Having given them all the assault orders is fine, but if each model is treated as an individual unit, should it also resolve completely before moving to the next unit. In others words, you would assault with the first model and resolve it fully before moving to the next. Of course, I may be wrong, but in bolt action even a snap to order is resolved one unit at a time. I hope my point is clear. It's certainly something to think about.
