You know I'll say this man, I respect your opinion for liking the movie a lot and you do make some valid point, but I don't know man, this movie has just gotten worse for me the more I thought about it. And while historical inaccuracies don't usually bring a bio pic down for me, cause even some of the really good one like Walk the Line or Straight Outta Compton weren't entirely accurate either, but I just never thought it did Freddie Mercury justice and I wished it focus on the other band members more. To me, it felt like a more sanitized and bland retelling of Mercury's life with a series of montages of them making their popular songs. And I wasn't even all that crazy about Rami Malek's performance honestly, especially comparing him to Bradley Cooper in A Star in Born (Who he beat that year for the Oscars) and Taron Edgerton in Rocketman the following year as Elton John, I thought they gave much stronger performances. But that's just me, still great review and as far as favorite Queen song: Don't Stop Me Now with Bohemian Rhapsody and Somebody to Love coming close.

It’s all right dude I completely understand, there are times where the montages are slightly overdone on my end and pretty obvious but I don’t usually get bothered with that though I don’t blame others for feeling differently. And I don’t know if I would’ve gone with Rami Malek for best actor but I was still happy for him getting some recognition. I actually still have yet to watch “Straight Outta Compton”, never got around to it unfortunately😕 Somebody to Love is a GREAT one and I think it’s right next to my top three favorite Queen songs.

I found the movie to be extremely underrated while I do understand the criticism that film is getting it could have more on Freddie’s personal life especially with his sexuality, but I actually appreciate this movie a lot more on rewatches, I like the movie a lot more! Great review Joe! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

There’s always room for improvement in any movie and this is no exception, but I couldn’t help it while re-watching it 😎 I know it’s not gonna be for everybody especially for the diehard Queen fans but it all comes down to what your level of acceptance will be. Thank you as always for the support bud!
