I have a 200T doing the exact same thing.. threw a chinese carb on on it and seems the same... I will do the jb weld on the original carb plug and check for leaks next

Children are a gift from God, please don't ever forget that, enjoy every moment you can with her. Soon they are grown and doing their own thing. But they will never forget all of those moments. And she will be grateful for each and every one. Cute Christmas sleeper too. Nice pointers on the t200 have a 359 that had an excellorator pump in the carb it failed as well. Sir i have watched umpteen videos and ask a dozen very seasoned small engine mechanics and got a good basic understanding of how to fine tune a carb. but in 30 seconds of listening to tune that 200t i think i may have understood more from the way u do it than in my last several yrs all together. As u humbly say i dont know untill i try your technec myself in the field, thank you for sharing ur knowledge and all else i can is cherish every minute u can will that youngen. lol.

I have repaired two of them little saws I love them. One I sold, the other one has a China cylinder, i have cut down like 7-8 trees with it. I am tempted to pull it apart and look in there.

My paps 200t did the same thing when you would hit the throttle . Was at the dealer 3 diff times and they never could figure it out. I took it home took handle apart and all along it had a huge hole in the impulse line that they somehow never noticed. I changed it out then took a piece of the old hose and sliced it in half long ways and put it around the new line where it is very close to the cylinder

At 71 I am just getting into cleaning up my better half’s property, and have been wishing I had a 200T for limbing- all of the damage that I have done is really caught up with me! Have seen your video of putting the parts saws together and wanted one since. Only problem is everyone else knows how good they are and the price is whacked. Enjoy watching your trouble shooting problems, good to add to the knowledge bank.

I've never messed with a 200 T,but I've rebuilt piles of junked MS250's ,every single one that came back was from a bad Zama carburetor that had something that a routine rebuild couldn't fix. 😀

Cute as a button! Life is good with a toddler in the house in wintertime with stacks of firewood and a lot of spare diapers😊 Cool video! Could you try to fix, or show which holes you are plugging in the carb? Struggled a bit with the accelerator pump on my MS360, so went for an AM carb since I plugged one of the wrong holes😅👍

Man..... thank you so much. I have a 200T that I've put $2500 into. From an originally $300 purchase. 6 mechanics and myself couldn't find the problem. Turns out pulling the Welch plug and jb welding it makes it sound and act like a 200T should now. I owe you a case of beer

I paid $40 my my 200t and it ran like crap. Brought it to 2 mechanics and they couldnt figure it out. Brought it to a dealer. $100 later they changed the plug. I was pissed. Now its boggy. Ill have to try this plug method

And watch out when she starts really getting around… everything gets destroyed lolll… but congrats and good luck man

Appreciate the vids and thank you for making them but you started out fixing the saw the way it was and then resolved the issue by replacing the carb, which doesn't really address what the issue was with the original carb. I guess that's fine if somebody has a handful of spare carbs kicking around, lol. I was hoping to see how you fixed it the way it was... Plus you point out the accelerator pump fix which is fine and may apply with a carb that has one, but as you pointed out not all carbs do. Which is the case with mine, I don't see that little welsh plug on the face.

Thanks for the baby Charlie update. She's adorable! My shop floor is also always a mess despite trying to keep it clean. Keep my saw shelf covered with pig mat, it's a little pricy and occasionally have to replace sections but atleast it tremendously helps keep that area fairly clean. Excited to see how much more you can get from that 200t!

So I got a saw for around my 14th birthday that my grandpa gave to my dad, and my dad to me, I took it fully apart and rebuilt everything except the engine itself, it runs but no matter how lean I rub it it smokes, It has great compression so it shouldn't be the ring, but I'm not a professional.

It’s amazing how attentive baby Charlie is. Super cute! My daughter was the same from day one… btw to let you know, she was asking for her own chainsaw at the age of 2 :D Looking forward to your 200T build. Exhaust is super high on those out of the box. Watch the intake before dropping the cylinder, as the top piston ring is close to clearing.

Johns custom saws on youtube did a pretty good video on porting 200ts maybe check him out.

Hello tinman, I have e a holzfforma g372xp pro, and the carb will not richen out and die, but it runs fine at 1 and a half. I wonder if that is a problem ?

Bogging on combustion engines is a symptom of fuel starvation. Increase fuel delivery incrementally until the bog goes away. Some of those 200's have an accelerator pump that gives out, as I understand it they can be blocked off (edit, I said that before I watched the full video 😂)...

The first little bit seems slow because you are still getting accustomed to being a parent.. but then you blink and they are starting school. Blink again and they are in high school. Enjoy it while you can.

I think it didn’t restart because you choked it off instead of hitting it up to off… I don’t think the air filter had anything to do with it

Proud dad of Charlie, congratulations! Now sir i have a fairly new 1 year 251c Stihl saw and get continuously black stuff coming out of the exhaust. Running 40:1 98 octane with stihl oils. Don't know what the problem is here in Australia dealers aren't helpful ! Is it a H. or L jet problem? Kindly advise, thanks in advance Gunter

Fyi, air cooled engines should not use high octane, higher burn temps, Stihl dealer said... so back to 91oct here in Aus, with fuel additive for extended shelf.

If you're wondering about oil and burn richness, these guys have spark plug diagnoses videos- still to check out myself, but just to get you started...to start with fresh fuel as well.

hi tinman,im tom.. replacing carb on my stihl 200t .. rubber intake boot and metal ring keeps deforming after final installation.. no success after repeated trys.. can you help? better still this needs someone like you do a complete ck and overhaul .. can i ship this saw too you.. your a great mechanic .. please contact same for shipping instructions.. my personal purchased new...thanks tom

Your channel's really no different (in a good way) to how it was when you did the OG boggy 200T video. I blocked my 200T accelerator pump years ago, rebuilt the carb, and it ran fine for a year or so but eventually started behaving the same as yours here. Sometimes it seems fine, sometimes I can even cut with it for a while, but then it'll go oooOOooOOoOOOoooooohhhhhglugluglugugggg (you know the sound) so I check the price of a new carb and put it back on the shelf until next time.
