Very nice biggest airliner. Really look forward to seeing it at the airports. I wonder how the wingtips fold upwards on ground - but on takeoff when there is maximum lift on the wings - the tips do not fold accidentely. Really god works of the engineers.

Correction, it is a Boeing 777x, you can see it on the winglets.

Two things. They aren’t winglets. They are folding wingtips. Second, the 777X program has two variants announced. The 777-8 and the 777-9 are those currently marketed but the -8 is on hold for a while. All of the test aircraft are 777-9s.

Only Everett. Too low a rate to justify moving it and there are other elements like the wings built at Everett.

They won't move the 777X to CHS. It made sense for the 787 since the fuselage was made there and the 787-10 was too long to fit in the dreamlifter so it was cancel the 787-10 or move to CHS

While this will be an awesome sight for plane-spotters and enthusiasts at airports around the world, I have a feeling that Boeing is making a big mistake here. Post pandemic, such a massive aircraft will not be very popular anymore, no matter how updated it is. Yes, there are customers that have already placed orders. But with the drastic reduction in air passenger numbers coupled with the severely delayed launch/delivery of this aircraft, some 777X customers will be cancelling or considering cancelling their orders. Boeing should really be focusing on the 797, to catch up with (and match/overtake) the A321 XLR which is gobbling up all the sales in its class, a class that the majority of airlines are now switching over to. The 737 is a failed aircraft now, ever since the crash of those two MAXes. At the end of the 737's life, it is most likely that most customers who have the MAX and other 737s in their fleets will not be replacing their 737s with another 737 (no matter if it's updated with new engines and wings like the 777X). The only other aircraft in that class is the A321 XLR, and maybe the Irkut MC-21 too (but how many customers are going to buy a Russian plane?). That means the A321 XLR will soon start to sell like hot cakes with no challenger at all. The 797 is the only plane that will lift Boeing up. But right now it seems like Boeing is being managed by stupid idiots who cannot read the market trends. (My opinion of course, which, the last time I checked, doesn't count for anything 😃)

You're assessment of your opinion is correct. With the 777 one of the most successful wide body jets in the world this plane is a natural replacement with significant improvements. Boeing made the right choice to build the 787, already one of the most successful jetliners ever built, and the 777X. Airbus went for the vanity project A380 which is a financial disaster. If not for government backing, Airbus being 25% Sovereign owned or at least that's what they admit to, the A380 would have been a financial hole they might never climb out of. 737 failed aircraft with 4500 orders for the Max? Are you kidding me? In military intelligence circles we call what you are doing here spoofing. Nice try...
