Vertical takeoff of the Boeing 777X leaves crowd speechless
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Get ready to be amazed as you watch the Boeing 777X perform a shocking, almost vertical takeoff during an airshow flying display at Farnborough 2022. This footage was captured from multiple angles, including 3 different cameras, giving you a complete view of the incredible moment. The powerful GE9X engines propel the aircraft upward, leaving onlookers speechless and in awe of the aircraft's capabilities. This video showcases the future of aviation technology and gives an in-depth look at the power and capabilities of the Boeing 777X. Don't miss your chance to witness the aircraft's jaw-dropping takeoff from every angle !
The Boeing 777X is the latest series of the long-range, wide-body, twin-engine jetliners in the Boeing 777 family from Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
The 777X features new GE9X engines, new composite wings with folding wingtips, greater cabin width and seating capacity, and technologies from the Boeing 787.
The General Electric GE9X is a high-bypass turbofan developed by GE Aviation exclusively for the Boeing 777X. It first ran on the ground in April 2016 and first flew on March 13, 2018; it powered the 777-9's maiden flight in early 2020.

An airliner has so much thrust that it can vertical climb. truly remarkable
@user-lv7ph7hs7l
2 ай бұрын
It doesn't but 777 has the highest thrust to weight ratio of an airliner but its not 1 or more, it's maybe a 40-50° pitch up, maybe 60°. Normal is 15 for until 1000 ft or so then 10-12. Fighter jets can have TWR of 1.2 or so, they can really climb vertically. And rockets of course. 1.5 is typical like Falcon 9 or many other. SPRINT missile had the highest. Mach 10 in 10 seconds. It began to glow red hot and had a heat shield on the nose cone. It was meant to carry a nuke and intercept an incoming barrage and blow them out of the sky. Cancelled one day after becoming operational. Check footage it's spectacular.

The plane loses velocity during the steep part so the pilots will have to timely bring it back to near horizontal flight to speed back up, as is visible in the vidoes here; no doubt that type of takeoff can be automated, this plane most likely is equipped for that because it went just perfect.

They took some ideas from Airbus as far as vertical stabilizers, its not dorsal. A-Frame is more sleek in typical Boeing fashion. The avionics nose looks more bulky. To preform a vertical lift on takeoff like that is very impressive. That pilot is highly skilled.
Incredible ! Not only the engines but the entire airframe has to be very strong to take a stress like that.

We don't know what speed they rotated at. Might have kept it on the ground for longer than normal to have more speed to trade for height, in addition to being an empty jet, no payload and not much fuel. Still pretty cool, but it looked like they only maybe got to 60 degrees pitch up. Vertical is 90. *Sustained* acceleration vertically upward requires a thrust:weight ratio of greater than 1, like an F-16 without a lot of fuel or payload. Now *that's* a massive amount of thrust, per weight.
I’ve watched so many STALL videos this scares me! It’s neat to see when the aircraft is next to empty and all is operating properly with a highly trained pilot at the controls! Those Pilot Debrief videos are in the front of my mind though!
