This body scan meditation is my favourite. I suffer from bad panic attacks and this helps to ground me and it forces me to get out of my head and focus on relaxing fully. I can’t thank you enough for this meditation !!

Yes! I suffer from bad panic attacks too as well as trouble falling asleep without nightmares. This has help so much

My favourite! I have used this meditation when I wake consistently up at 2 am and struggled to get back to sleep. It has successfully re trainined my sleep patterns, and I rarely wake unless woken by something now. I love the way the immediate focus is on relaxing and softening the brow and eyes, I rarely make it through the entire meditation now and am back asleep within minutes.
I keep coming back to this video. Im usually out cold in 10 minutes. I have a hard time falling asleep. Once im out im out. Your voice is so soothing.

As a new mom with some serious insomnia, your voice is so soothing and these really chill me out and sometimes I even fall asleep before it’s over. I don’t stay asleep but… it’s nice to know I at least get some sleep while my baby’s sleeping.

I recommend taking magnesium for sleep. Really helped me
I struggle a lot with migraines and tension headaches, i have found that this video helps me achieve a little bit of relief and relax a bit. It’s helped a lot. In many different cases. Thank you!

I have a lot of trouble quieting my mind when I attempt to meditate. But every time I started to get frustrated with myself for not being able to do what she’s asking, she reminded us that some days you won’t be able to relax as much, and that’s okay. I really appreciated that she did that.

This is my second time ding this sleep meditation and i think because i have insomnia, it is more challenging. but it does calm me and that means a lot to me right now. I do like the breathing technique. I do drift off eventually, but i can wake again, this is why i think if i'm in the throws of insomnia it may take time to help me get through that first. I do love this though. that breathing pattern becomes so rhythmic and natural after a while. thank you! great calming voice! And that is very important to me.
I have been practising the Mindfulness of Breathing technique kzread.infoUgkxIIDVgnLN8pF_fPOyoZ1nTjbLvvZcib6r as taught in this CD for about 2 years having read about it in Paramananda's Change Your Mind book and taken a real liking to it. However at times I struggle to remain focused on the breathing and thought that at such times this guided version might suit me. So after two years I finally decided to buy it! The first 7'24 of Track 1 of the CD is a body relaxtion which I do not use: I don't like body relaxation techniques and I find 27' just a little too long for meditation. The remaining 20' of gentle, guided meditation helps me tremendously to relax and stay focused. I find him's voice very soothing and whilst he is present to guide you through the 4 stages of the meditation, his presence is not intrusive or distracting. For the past two years I have tried to follow this technique as best I can with gentle meditation music despite music not being recommended. Having used this CD a couple of times I think I will try from now on to adopt a new routine of no music and just this CD as I find it so helpful. I realise now that the music really is distracting and I have enjoyed listening to the ambient sounds around me which I am normally unaware of. I can not comment on the other 2 tracks of Metta or Walking Meditation as I bought the CD solely to help me with the Mindfulness of Breathing and it does just that - very effectively. In my opinion this CD is money very well spent as it will guide you through a thoroughly useful and beneficial meditation technique and I don't think you can put a price on that.

I had a lot of tension in my body and couldn’t find any good body scan meditation so. I decided to do this one and it was amazing. Very helpful, nice calm voice. Very gentle. I could feel most of my tension leave my body. But I also nodded of for a bit. This was very needed. Thank you so much Lauren. Keep on doing those amazing piece of work❤️

Super Body Scan. Hier stimmt alles. Es geht ohne überflüssiges Gequatsche los, Stimme und Intonation sehr entspannt, Text auch sehr gut und auf das Wesentliche konzentriert. Auch der Hintergrund paßt. Der beste Body Scan, den ich kenne. Gibt es diesen auch als CD?

Hi Lauren. Great article and thanks for sharing your journey. I’ve used the Michael Jordan story with my students (I’m a school teacher) for years now and it continues to inspire my students... I like the Rocky speech and I think I need to watch the movie again after so many decades! People who say nasty things do so because they want to feel better about themselves and it’s just way easier to be mean than it is to be kind. And it’s risky being kind because it makes you vulnerable. Keep up the good work and ‘meditate on’!

Hi Renee yes I agree I love the Michael Jordan quotes as they are so relatable. Yes, I listen to Brene Brown and just love her but am a big believer in boundaries...we are no good to anyone if we don't have boundaries. I do not believe in boundaries for the sake of vulnerability without caveat. thank you so much for reading. I love that phrase....meditate on.... xx
