How would he win a lawsuit? He didn't actually lose the property and the officer was arrested and is no longer working with the department. There was no substantial harm done that could be proven in court. If the officer had gotten away with it than sure he could win, but barring that it's the same as you can't civilly sue a theif for attempting to steal somthing unless, again, damage is done during the process.

The more times you watch the video and watch all the facial expressions, the more it becomes gold. When Chapman opened the door, he practically tried to stare/will Moon into not seeing the cash. Then, at that exact moment, he spotted it buddy in the back looked away like, "WTF Chapman, really?" LOL. Oh, and his politeness disarmed all of them, allowing him to control the show and put a spotlight on Chapman. If he did anything else, they would've roughed him up, threw in a cruiser and distracted away from the crime. Chapman would've loved that.

Imagine how many cops are watching this video.. after a shift of ripping people off 😢

Naw dude, I totally disagree with that assessment. If they wanted to avoid it why would they open the door and check the exact spot the dude was referencing? Only way your argument makes any sense is that it took 2-3 min before they checked? I don't see that as sus at all, you know how many ridiculous claims most criminals make? looked like the Sergeant opened the door and found the money pretty quick... with the receipt. all downhill for the thief cop from there. only takes one bad cop to make the entire department look bad. granted Most of them are bad.

He kept saying that he heard the rubber band come off the money and that the guy was moving around and trying to hide the cash. But they gave him the runaround, repeatedly trying to count what was left of the cash and trying to get him to commit to how much was in his stack. He was adamant the entire time but they were blowing him off. Can’t believe you are blind to these facts.

Count the money, look at the receipt rolled up with the money sitting in the door of the car. He didn’t even need to argue as much as he did, he was being robbed by a dirty cop. How did he know there’s money sitting in the doorway if he wasn’t being honest?

She said “Let’s take it down a notch?” wtf that man is being polite and respectful AFTER he just the other cop try steal his money. Disgraceful 🫢

This video is all over the Internet but this is the first channel I've seen that cut out the most important part, which is the cop sitting in his patrol car looking straight ahead, occassionally looking down but clearly trying to hide the fact he's moving the money around. It's not that he cut that part out, it's because he's showing the bodycam footage from another cop who's standing in a different location. To see the cop's face and his movements as he's trying desperately to move the money around you have to see it from the angle of the cop who's standing directly across from the cop's driver side window. it's sad and hilarious at the same time.

Seeing and listening to him apologize over and over again like he is the one in the wrong just breaks my heart.....

this guy blew his carrier for $900.00 what a shame, lost his carrier, pension health care, everything now he will never get another job as a cop no one will hire him,, really not smart at all.

The fact the woman officer kept telling him to take it down when your fellow officer stole money is crazy to me. This man was polite and did give any issues the police seemed not to care the officer stole

Kudos to that young man’s mama teaching him to be observant. This was messed up. The other officers did right by him, actually listening to what he was saying. I hope he gets cleared from the federal charge.

“ you’re still going to jail” - from the thieving cops supervisor. Sir the man in custody never suggested anything otherwise lol. The supervisor was basically doing the equivalent of moving a girls hair back while she vomits and rubbing her back when his subordinate was waiting for whoever was supposed to come talk to him about his fingers being sticky.

Before body cams, they would have said "yeah, right" about his allegation and nothing at all would have been done!! Caught red handed!
