This is sick and disgusting. Tillman may have died by friendly fire, but the fact is he gave up his football career to go fight for our countries🇺🇲🇬🇧 and to protect others from the terrorists who attacked us. This award is for integrity and sacrifice of a sportsman & giving to others for good causes; therefore, that removes greedy, low-life liars such as the Harkles 😮

He is a traitor to his country what more needs to be said

The idea that a dishonorable foreign prince who says the First Amendment of the US Constitution is "bonkers" might be given an award for valor and honor is unconscionable. Prince Harry is foreign; his military service is questionable, and his sport is polo, where he is notorious for abusing his horses. Marcus Rashford who received the award a couple of years ago never served in the Forces as far as I know. He is, however, an English professional sportsman (football/soccer player) who raised a LOT of money and pressurized the government to release funding to feed children during the COVID disruption. As this is a sports-based reward, Henry Mountbatten-Windsor should never have been considered 🤬🦄

The Pat Tillman Award is given to someone involved in sports & service. Some of the recipients have also been involved with military service. Some of the recipients have not been Americans. I agree with you about Gary Sinise being involved with service, particularly service to the military & veterans, but is he significantly involved in sports?

As an American from an American military family, I for one am disgusted and think its outrageous for him to receive this award.

For him to represent the military in any capacity is a disgrace after the way he treated the late Queen and since her death King Charles and Prince William should exclude him from representing any military organisation.

And i think the only time he saw a dead soldier was in transport coffins, whilst he was on the plane, when he was leaving ! I reckon as a representative or the monarchy, even if he was being protected by many others and not involved in actual combat, he should have met every soldier that was injured when they came back to their base, and should have done daily visits to the medical tent/hospital on the bases he was near. He could have spoken to those soldiers thanking them first their service, and giving them morale boosters. Instead he did the bare minimum, as per usual, never going out of his way to help others.

100% agree with Pat Wales comment. As an American, I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT understand why American entities are giving this 'effing Grifter' (I am quoting media mogul here...) ANY AWARDS much less the award named for the magnificent, heroic Pat Tillman. SHAME ON YOU CBS. This is disgusting.

Harry was in a bunker with security around him. The only time he came out was for media photos . He had no friends .He had not passed his exams, but given his commission and wings, the men got angry when they saw he got the Afghanistan war medal, according to his instructor.

If they are giving this award to a sport's person does include Harry killing a polo horse? He "borrowed" the horse from Nacho after Nacho said no. Harry rode her any way . Her name was Drizzle. And she was pregnant. He rode her to death and bloodied her sides with his spurs. What a SPORTSMAN!

There's actually no credible source that says the horse was pregnant, nor that the horse belonged to Nacho. Think about it, the event was in the UK and the pony was one members of the BRF used - so why would it belong to Nacho? That makes no sense. There was a mare that died of a heart attack, Harry was riding her when she started to falter, so he rode her off the field and she died not long afterwards. The pictures of the bloody spur marks on Harry's horse are not Drizzle. There's no need to make things up as Harry's treatment of animals appears bad enough without needing to embellish the story, just because you read stuff on social media, doesn't mean it;s true, you need to check the source before repeating as fact, or state that it's your assumption and you have not verified the information. PETA has the incident on their website and is a credible source, stating the facts of the incident.

The only things that is true on that post is that the horse's name was Drizzle, everything else is either fake (the story about Nacho, that claim that the horse was pregnant) or misrepresented - the horse did die from a heart attack, after Harry became aware that she was having problems, he rode her off the field and she died not long after. I'm no fan of Harry's, but there is enough accurate information out there to discuss in his treatment of animals, without having to make things up. PETA has the incident on its website as an example of the cruelty of polo in general, rather than specifically Harry's cruelty.

It was King Charles horse she was 10 years old and both William and Harry rode her after Charles gave up polo Harry took her off the field as she wasn't right. She had only been ridden for less than 5 mins. I couldn't find in any of the newspaper articles that she was pregnant

He deserves NO award or recognition until he addresses the abhorrent violence occurring in Africa Parks. That’s just the start.

Harry can bring and pay for his own security. There is absolutely no reason for the taxpayers to pay for his celebrity. The armed security is needed for the King, Queen and the Wales family whenever Harry is in the country!

Harry got the idea from the Warrior Games in the United States. Has any soldier been honored in the US for this event? I do not think Harry is worthy of the Tillman Award he’s not an American soldier, what a slap in the face to our soldiers. He wore the swatiska on a costume thinking it was funny. He’s a puppet that Meghan controls, he buys his fame, Meghan interrupts him when speaking, stands in front of him, pushes him out of the way and holds his hand to pull him where she wants him to go. He’s not a man, not a war hero, he’s a puppet.

The now King Charles, Prince William and Princess Catherine got the idea from The American Warriors and it was only passed on to Bunker Boy to give him something to do. Invictus was inspired by the successful Warrior Games and set up by a Palace Aide, with the support of Charles, William and Harry. Harry was given it as patron to try to give him some purpose, but wasn't ever his idea or his work.

As an American and an Arizonan I find it highly offensive to see Harry, the grifter, get this award. What a slap in the face to the Tillman family.

Pat Tillman was a professional football player. After 911 he quit and joined the military and lost his life. He gave up a million dollar career for his country A true hero This is above and beyond disgusting harry is even in the same building. Tillman was a mans man he would NOT approve of this

I challenge Harry to fly an apache helicopter by himself. There is footage of him in an apache at an airshow and everyone was lead to believe Harry was the pilot, he wasn't, the man sitting behind him was in total control. So many people in the forces have said Harry never passed any of his testing, he was given his rank, he did nothing and sat playing games in his bunker, lied about needing to go home for official royal business constantly, apparently can not fly at all and sits in the gunners seat with no control of the helicopter. all footage of him apparently running to go on a mission while being interviewed was set up and fake, and so much more. This guy has always been a loser and a liar, he has just been protected by the royals because he is an epic failure. From what it looks like Harry has told Meg everthing and now Meg is using that knowledge over the royals. The Royals need to make an official statement and own up to everything they covered up for Harry and later what they covered up for Meg. The Australia tour behavior and bullying, just to name two coverups.

There are pics of him on the mare shortly beforehand, no spur marks can be seen - there are pics of Harry's horse with spur marks, but that was another horse (very easily spotted, completely different colour). It's a bad idea to believe what you read on social media then go around stating it as fact. The most likely scenario is that someone invented the details of the story for attention - as people do on social media, and people are now repeating it, even when it is so easily debunked. If it really happened as you say, PETA would have publicised it with those details included, and so would other animal rights groups. Yes, Harry has a poor track record with animals, but there's no need to make things up or repeat someone else's lies to try an make a point.

Who nominated him? I'm interested to know why they think an English ex Royal is worthy of this award

Regardless of how Tillman died, he was willing to give up that football contract to protect our country. In my opinion that makes him a hero. Having Harry receive that award is like a slap in the face to all the athletes and soldiers in this country. Are things so bad that we need to “rent a Royal” to have someone deserving to hand a statue to?

I'm so happy you are covering this - I have signed a petition of disgust on this. PT was an American Hero & JH is nothing like PT - a Patriot, sacrificial, hero, gave his life for his country, gave up his NFL career and signed up for Military. It's a farce to even consider what JH does with Invictus (tax shelter for MM's clothes, travel, etc). I'm sure the NFL players are up in arms. He's a JOKE - JH to think he is in anyone's company associated with US military. He isn't an American!

Didn't the NFL give Harry an award? & some of the players got up & walked out. This, after Harry made some wild criticisms of U S football & the 1st amendment? I don't know whether to say the NFL is a little two-faced, or hopefully maybe they've learned their lesson. ?

The minute I heard about this I thought I would gag. Thank God no one listens to this show. He wants to get involved in American sports so badly. Harry is no American hero.

The key point is Pat Tillman believed in the US Constitution at the base of his patriotism and Harry called the critically important First Amendment “crazy.” Harry shouldn’t even be in his current host country while this award is being given much less be receiving it!!!!!!!

Second time today I've seen this comment from DimWit.

This makes me sick that Harry is receiving this award. The Foundation needs to rethink giving him an award.

Amazing when you consider the amount of money Harry and the wife take from the Invictus Games for personal expenses. Travel, hotels, security, clothes etc, etc. All of that money was raised for the benefit of the games....how many Veterans could have been helped with those funds? How was that not considered when reviewing the criteria for this award. Harry is a grifter. The Invictus Games were created by King Chares and both of his sons. Why does Harry continue to take all the credit? He does not deserve this award. The only thing he does deserve is to be fired by the Veterans. There is NOTHING selfless about Harry.

I’ve just emailed the Tillman Foundation, to complain about the decision to award Harry.
