Bobby Jones - 21 Points & 4 Blocks vs. Bucks (1981 Playoffs)
Спорт
April 5, 1981 - Nicknamed the Secretary of Defense, Bobby Jones made eleven All-Defensive Teams and five appearances over the course of his 12-year NBA & ABA career.
"He's a player who's totally selfless," former teammate Julius Erving said. "[He] runs like a deer, jumps like a gazelle, plays with his head and heart each night, and then walks away from the court as if nothing happened."
In Game 1 of his team's 1981 Eastern Conference Semifinal series against the Milwaukee Bucks, Jones shined, finishing with 21 points, 4 rebounds, 4 blocks, and 3 steals in a 125-122 victory.
As an aside, Game 1 set an NBA record for blocks in a single playoff game. The Sixers (20) and Bucks (9) combined to block 29 shots.

Thanks for the upload! One of the GOAT defensive players.. and he was even much more than “just” that. Bobby’s impact was immeasurable…
Definitely far more talented and left a lasting impact (Basketball Hall of Famer to boot) than a certain "podcast plumber" JJ Redick. Bobby Jone's defense is even leagues better than most NBA players now. He was called the Secretary of Defense for a reason.

Oh man. Bobby Jones and Dirk Nowitzki. He could get those long rebounds.
Awesome player thank you for posting?
I remember that Sunday game very well. One hour before it started, my girlfriend's dad passed away and I went to her home and watched that game as all the relatives started showing up.
The Secretary of Defense! 🏀

Kevin Mchale wasn't bad. Bobby's my favorite. I actually met him at neiman marcus san diego . Told him how much I loved him and said he would be a hall of famer. As typical, Bobby responds, not sure about that. My favorite college team tarheels and pro sixers u can imagine how much I love him.

@jyy9624 He became a starter he won six man. Wanted to go back when Bias was drafted. Sadly, he died he even called Bias and told him he was coming off the bench again. Remember, Walton was a legend stater until injuries, and he was a piece of work destroyed my sixers in the finals. Childhood, I remember ❤️
