I used to listen to the 500 best rock songs every 4th of July as voted by the radio station listeners back in the 80’s and early 90’s and every year the top two songs was Stairway to Heaven number 1 and this song Number 2. The original version by Seger not the remake.

My late dad was a huge bob seger fan. He had a 1989 Chevy 1500 that I would ride in when I was a kid and I will never forget the last time me and my dad jammed out to this song. It was exactly on August 24th of 2006. I was 6 years old and me and him were going to our camper for the weekend (keep in mind he had lung cancer at the time) and he knew he didn’t have much longer to spend time with me so he got his Bob Seger Cassette tape out and put it in and put this song on. Me and him sang through the entire thing and when it ended he pulled over because he was so emotional. We hugged and he said “when I leave this earth, play this song whenever you’re sad about me and I’ll be there singing along with you.” It’s been 15 years since he passed and I still play this song and sing to it every once in a while. Miss you dad Update: thank you for the support. If you guys are wondering…. Yes I have the truck now that I take to shows. I working on getting it back on the road as it’s been sitting for a few years and I hope to drive it back to where me and him camped for the first time in over 15 years. And yes I still have the Bob Seger cassette tape but I’m going to switch out the radio so it has a CD player. Edit: thank you everyone for the support. For everyone asking why I’m putting in a cassette player is because the player broke a few years ago when I revived the truck. A cd player is a whole lot cheaper and more convenient for me. Don’t worry I’m still keeping the cassette tape in the truck where my dad left it 😉. Besides the truck is far from original so I’m not worried about changing things up on it. And another thing for those people wondering, yes the truck is officially back on the road where it belongs with plates for the first time since 2008. It really fought me hard because it has a supercharger and everything was chewed and everything else, it was one thing after another for about a year and a half. It still needs work but it’s now roadworthy and just took on its first long trip last month and it did amazing with no problems whatsoever. When it’s out of storage I’ll try and post a video on the truck next year.

Am I the only one that tears up to this? This song isn’t just about a rockstar. It’s about all of us that go out there trying to be the best we can and playing an act. I know I put on a happy face with my family and at work (literally in an airplane all the time flying for business) and people expect 100 percent. I feel like a dog and pony show. But by myself in a cheap hotel room I am a mess and so insecure. Therapy has helped and I’m getting better. I use this song to help me understand my journey. This song is fucking brilliant.

GUYS PRAY FOR SAM AND COLBY THEY BEEN DECEIVED BY DEMONS AND ARE IN DANGER THEY ARE KZreadRS❤ God wouldnt allow souls to be trapped on earth, its umbilical and never happened all souls belong to God, so you cant sell your soul to the devil❤ And not everyone is a child of God jesus said it himself youre of your father the devil and your desires are to do his will true children of God are the ones who have been born again spiritually and repented from sin❤ So many people say they love God, but most of them never repented from sin and have a personal relationship with him, and love isnt just a feeling love is doing❤ Familiar spirits are demons well if I'm wrong I wasted nothing because I got peace and joy from him, but if you're wrong you wasted your entire life!! ❤️🎉 And demons love when people believe that lie that God doesn't exist and they love it when people don't know they are there ❤I copy n paste this everywhere❤ And no one talks about repentance, God will never lower his standards to be okay with your sins, sins is very serious in the eyes of God hes holy and righteous and it seperates us from him❤ Demons exist, and the devil comes to steal kill and destroy and uses people to do so❤ Btw telling the demon to stay doesnt do anything unless you have the holy spirit you arent safe. People: okay please stay this is your place❤ Demon: okay People: **leaves** Demon: **Goes with them anyway** Demons arent gonna make it obvious they are there so yeah. Demons are fallen angels that uses the form of our passed away loved ones to make us believe ghost exist and the souls of the person we knew still remains here❤❤ Astrology is demonic before my relationship with God I would always do zodiac signs literally just a bunch of sins put into each one I bet if everyone was sinless zodiac signs wouldn't make sense and literally a cover up for demons❤ Hearts are deceitful above all things, listen to God❤ Depression can be a demon you may need deliverance❤ God said unless you're born again spiritually u will not enter the kingdom of heaven also God doesn't judge us by our good works he's judging us by our sins Gods standards are so high he's that HOLY saying oh my God is using Gods name in vain it's called blasphemy ❤ To get to heaven you must believe with all your heart that Jesus died and rose again paid full price for your sins repent and receive his Holy spirit. KZreadrs I recommend Impact videos ministries David diga Hernandez IsaiahSaldivar Mapalo DLM christian lifestyle Billy garham Danial adams Living waters Mike Signorelli Okay now pray this to be saved and to get to heaven pray out loud Jesus I confess that you are my lord and savior I believe in my heart that God raised you from the dead I ask to receive your holy spirit and I repent of my sins with your help❤ by faith in your word I receive salvation now Thank you for saving me! I am now reborn a christian a child of almighty God I am saved thank you Jesus! *Be genuine when praying this* Watch videos on how to receive Gods holy spirit on YT God creates Jesus redeems The holy spirit changes Now our good deeds and works we think are good are like filthy rags in the eyes of God Things to get rid of in your home 1sage 2dream catchers 3crystals 4crystal ball 5ouija board 6 tarot and angel cards 7religious statues 8demonic movies music or video games 9soul times items 10pornography Now like a theif robbing a store, demons won't make it obvious they are there unless they have to. Now know you can't save yourself Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life You have insurance on your house if it ever caught on fire which rarely happens but when it comes to your soul, you play with it like you have forever to make your choice which you don't 150k+ people Die everyday and you never know when it may be you God spent 9 months shaping and forming you before you were born but only 7 days on earth you're fearfully and wonderfully made beautiful in the eyes of God❤ Don't waste time Hearts are deceitful above all things ask God for wisdom and understanding we are just tiny humans with a 3 pound brain and our imaginations cannot go beyond what we already know❤ Your souls is so valuable both Satan and God want it but it's your choice who you will serve You serve the devil when you Lie Hate Blasphemy Disobey Lazy Gossip Gluttony Wanting what others have cause what God has for you is for you he will never deliver your male to someone else's house Hate And unforgivness And cussing murder and more And once you die, you're locked with your choice of where you're spending eternity God doesn't care about you doing more good then bad cause he's not judging that God never said that's the way to heaven So who's lying you or God? Be serious about this❤ God is holy and righteous God is love So either you would play around because you don't believe hell exist or you don't believe you're going there but the bible makes it very clear The path to destruction is wide and easy many are on it the path to eternal life is hard and nerrow very few find it and to get into heaven u can only enter through the nerrow gate❤ You dont have to wait until you die to know if youre going to heaven you can know right now 100% where youre going❤ Satan doesnt rule hell this is a myth when lucifer known as satan now became prideful and rebelled against God he took many angels with him Demons are fallen angels we live in a spirital and physical world so hell was made for punishment for satan and his angels and the reason why people go there is because they Align themsleves with the devil in SIN! Sin separates us from God and the wages of sin is death if youre found guilty with one sin on judgment day you will not enter the kingdom of heaven so the thing is We us humans broken Gods law and jesus paid the fine! So the good news is you dont have to go to hell if you accept him as your lord and savior! God offered us eternal life as a free gift and you receive it by faith! You dont have to work for it you dont have to pay all you have to do is receive it by faith❤ Don't expect Gods best when you always give him your least don't reject him anymore let him come in and change your life❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Never really known of Bob Seger Till I met my father-in-law in 2013 he was a huge fan of him, since then I've listened to this song thousands of times and learned the lyrics over the years lol. My father in law is now in heaven and i will continue to play this one forever in remembrance of him, my father in law took my fiance to bob segar's last tour in 2019 here in Albuquerque NM. Rest in peace Jerry the memories will forever be with us❤😭

This one I first heard in an apartment in Frankfurt, Germany in 1978, I think it was. The stereo system was all Pioneer, and we were burning some tripping green hash. We heated it and flaked it into a meerschaum pipe and toked it up. The song sounds like a short story come alive in audio. There's a drama to it that is almost Shakespearean, what with its stage imagery. We were on the traveling stage of our own lives, and the wail of the saxophone sounded like homesickness. Some men are foreigners wherever they go.

There is only one man who could have stole my wife's heart and it is Bob Seger. She always listens to his songs. Makes her feel good about life in general. We both ask where the hell has the great music GONE. Today is a sorry excuse for what we are subject to. I listen to the 70's and some 60's. I cannot stand the music today. To many greats in the past to mention. So at night will working at home away from work I crank up the 60's and 70's and just go back in time to those wonderful years. I was blessed to have grown up in the 70's in High School. Damn what a rush in time.

Seger has been a long-time fave. When my metal friends were knocking him I didn't care. He wrote songs that when he sang them you felt them to your soul. I love ROCK, I don't care what sub-genre you are looking at there are songs and bands in that genre I dig. But I used to dig at my metal-head friends that Metal was a collection of bad musicians trying hard to drown each other out to hide how bad they are. That's not true, or at least usually not true, but it was fun to get them riled up as much as they got me by kicking the music I preferred - the stuff where I could hear and understand and feel the lyrics and the instrumentals added to those emotions. During my 30s and 40s when my friends were retrograding back to the "classic rock" of our youth, I was still expanding my musical horizons and finding new bands that fed the emotions that were churning inside. There was a lot of great music back then, and there is a lot of great music coming out now if you give it a chance. Love this song so much though, I think Against the Wind is the only one of his I like more. But so many of his songs bring out the nostalgic memories of my youth when I used to hear them on the radio constantly.

50 years later from it's original studio recording, 47 from the 'Live' Bullett recordings at Cobo Hall, Detroit 1975, Bob Seger's "Turn The Page" still remains one of the most iconic, and most infamous songs of the '70s and of the Rock-n-Roll era. That opening, as well as the closing. with that alto sax from Alto Reed continues to move me every time I hear it. For you guys, this song grabs you by the balls; for you gals it's like being intimately touched you know where.

The roads traveled are behind you, but yet you have to hold steady to look what's coming ahead & to you...can't be afraid if the next opportunity that might just come your way... Remain hopeful, keep the FAITH, always be true to yourself & to others, keeping it real... Thanks Bob for giving those of us going thru change to have the courage to "Turn the Page"

"Turn The Page" On a long and lonesome highway, east of Omaha You can listen to the engine moanin' out its one-note song You can think about the woman, or the girl you knew the night before But your thoughts will soon be wandering the way they always do When you're riding sixteen hours and there's nothing much to do And you don't feel much like riding, you just wish the trip was through Say, here I am, on a road again There I am, up on the stage Here I go, playing the star again There I go, turn the page Well, you walk into a restaurant, strung-out from the road And you feel the eyes upon you as you're shaking off the cold You pretend it doesn't bother you but you just want to explode Most times you can't hear 'em talk, other times you can All the same old clichés: "Is that a woman or a man?" And you always seem outnumbered, you don't dare make a stand Here I am, on a road again There I am, up on the stage Here I go, playing the star again There I go, turn the page Out there in the spotlight you're a million miles away Every ounce of energy you try to give away As the sweat pours out your body like the music that you play Later in the evening as you lie awake in bed With the echoes from the amplifiers ringin' in your head You smoke the day's last cigarette, remembering what she said Ah Here I am, on a road again There I am, up on the stage Here I go, playing the star again There I go, turn the page Ah, here I am, on a road again There I am, up on the stage Here I go, playing the star again There I go, there I go

Being homeless myself i can say that if you have a wanderer's heart that is the one positive thing about being homeless. You can go anywhere you want for the most part. You have no ties, no obligations, no roots. If you want to cross the country you can, if you want to go out to the desert, you can, travel to the mountains, the ocean, anywhere. The rest of the experience sucks and it's hard to live but that sense of freedom is nice to have. At least until it grows old and you start wishing you could settle someplace and put down roots.

Heard this song for the first time way back in the 80s, long after it came out. I lost my Dad to cancer, and "to be closer to him" became a bartender at his favorite bar. This song just stuck with me through the years... If the band we auditioed for live music Friday night couldn't play this song, they didn't get the job. Many bands on the Northside of Houston learned to play Turn the Page, just to play at the 525 club!
