I love the way Bob looks round at Dave, I think he more than anyone can’t believe how much energy the bloke is putting into this song. One of my favourite Du tunes. This whole performance is absolutely breathtaking 😁
Husker Foo!
New Day Rising has been my personal anthem since it was released in 1985. It was the song I used to get myself hyped up when going out. Nothing will ever be better than the original. However… this version did blow my mind. It gave me chills. Thank you for posting it. ✌🏽❤️🎸🍄
Excellent performance. David Grohl was expressing Grant Hart. I like Grant Hart's drumming. He had such a cool way of playing drums. A very personal and emotional way of using the drums. I give Grohl credit because he hung tough and didn't fuck it up.

I have to be a heathen and say that as much as I love the Huskers, I've always hated the sound of the drums. WAY too affected. It's nice just to hear drums without all of that phase and chorus and flange. It's also nice to hear Grohl playing the drums again.
Hell!!!! 34 years after listening for the FIRST time...Tears Rolling down....
what a performance Dave Grohl on those drums fucking brilliant
Oh god this song ......... amazing
Dave may be the only one able to touch the acetylene torch that husker du lit...
that flam roll aaahhhhhhh!!!!
I would have gladly traveled to see this show. Might be time for a repeat performance!
Wurster on guitar! Who knew drummers could do that?
Just missing Greg Norton.
Dave Grohl hammering it like Animal from the muppets!!!!
HAIL BOB!
I LOVE
Gosh that is good.
this world is old... new day rising! viva husker-vana
Bob still kicks ass!!! Over the top....
Dave Grohl was channeling his inner Grant Hart
Holy ŠHIT!
ANIMAL❤
Holy f.... shit...on 1:37 Dave made A mistake!! he is human after all:))) Love him from good old times,,,,but love Huskers even more...miss them...One of the things...I play drums barefoot in honor of Grant Hart ....for almost 25 years..
Grohl is a much better drummer than frontman.
epic

el Gran Dave Grohl!!!!!

I really like Daves drumming here but Grant's drumming was ferocious and he always looked like it was the easiest thing in the world. Dave looks really strained doing it.

@@zacharynewman4852 it's crazy the difference it makes. I could leave my old guitar on the stand for months at a time, pick it up again, and my strumming hand would get tired after playing a few fast songs... then I'd do a bit of speed, and could thrash for hours, and not feel a damn thing.
That Jonny Wurster kid...
I’m asking this as a drummer: I wonder if Dave Grohl ever practices? He never seems to get any worse. He was always great, but now he’s older. Yet he’s clobbering the crap out of a drum set like a pissed off 22-year-old. How?

he is a professional musician and a multi millionaire, I think he has time to practice the drums regularly 😅

Her just loves the noise.
Reminds me of song by another 80's Minneapolis band - the Suburbs -- their song called "Chemistry Set". The lyrics are just this repeated over and over "I went to Chemistry and that's about it." LOL

That's where I like to see Dave: on a drum seat. Why must good drummers do it like Phil Collins and starting to sing?

Dave Grohl determined to live out his boyhood fantasies. Not sure it's such a good idea.
After white drummers learned of loops.....😜
